f0b7e3972c Merge mozilla-central into build-system 
There were merges in configure.in and some Makefile.in. None had any
conflicts. I spot verified the Makefile.in changes and confirmed that
the changes did not touch any DIRS* variables.

The goal here is to get rid of this crap entirely, and make nsCxPusher always
push. But that's a scary change, so we do it in chunks. This patch, in particular,
should have zero behavioral change. This means preserving some very wrong behavior.
For instance, currently SafeAutoJSContext never pushes a damn thing, because the
safe JSContext doesn't have an associated nsIScriptContext. We preserve this
behavior, and in fact convert various similarly-buggy consumers to
SafeAutoJSContext, so that we can hoist the behavioral change into a subsequent
patch.

The current value will always be wrapped. We need to unwrap said wrappers,

8dfc5ae9df Bug 821850 - Make DoInitJSClass unconditionally fill in aClassObject. r=bz 
Right now, DoInitJSClass only returns non-null if the class object is new
(and thus needs to have members installed on it). The code then goes and
unconditionally tries to install the members, null-checking and aborting
each time.

Instead, let's use an explicit boolean and one early return. This lets us
get a reference to our JSClass no matter what, which we need.

This confused me, because fields are, in fact, exposed via the prototype
via the complicated two-step solution defined in InstallField. As it turns

c1612afa13 Bug 821850 - Make XBL-in-content tests Xray-safe. r=bz 
We use XPCNativeWrapper.unwrap rather than .wrappedJSObject so that the tests
are agnostic to whether there's an Xray wrapper or not.

I converted test_tree_column_reorder.xul into a chrome test because it does
all sorts of crazy introspection on the binding, and it really should be
a chrome test anyway.

There are a few changes we make here:
1 - Having callers pass JS::CompileOptions directly.
2 - Removing aUndefined, which makes no sense and is unused by consumers.
3 - Making aScopeObject and aRetValue non-optional, via references.
3 - Adding an argument to optionally coerce the return value to a string.

Coercing jsvals to strings is the reason we currently have two nearly-identical
functions, EvaluateString and EvaluateStringWithValue, since the coercion can
trigger arbitrary script and thus needs to be bracketed by all the junk that
nsJSContext does. However, if callers can be guaranteed that the return value
will be a bonafide string, then they can easily extract the string themselves
if they so desire. This will allow us to combine the two functions.

8d5b0ca82e Bug 824864 - Move consumers of CompileFunction to the nsJSUtils version, and kill the nsJSContext version. r=bz 
Note that the three consumers were all XBL, and were all passing aShared = true,
which had the effect of passing null for the target object. So we actually want
to pass JS::NullPtr() (the HandleObject version of nullptr) instead of
aClassObject in order to maintain the old behavior (whatever that is).

We already weren't creating a scope for them. They're generally pretty isolated
and are just used for holding functions that get cloned into other scopes.
Apparently mccr8 once found an edge from an nsXULPrototypeDocument scope into
another scope, but I don't think that should really break anything.

We want this right now so that we can avoid the scary warning when content Components
access happens in XBL (which we're allowing going forward). This patch would be overkill
just for that, but I also have plans to introduce a SOW-like protection of the Components
wrapper filtering policy. I can't just do the filename hack for that though, because real-
world XBL filenames might be all over the place. So let's just be safe here.

62325fa9f3 Bug 750570, part 4 - Switch most native CC classes to use the purple buffer. r=smaug 
This patch actually converts over most of the existing native CC classes
to use the participant. This is done by converting them to use
the newly generalized nsCycleCollectingAutoRefCnt instead of their usual
ref count.

This is mostly a matter of defining new macros defining AddRef() and Release()
for native CC classes with the CC ref count.

nsTimeout is left as a legacy native CC class because it is a weird class,
but hopefully eventually it too can be converted over.  See bug 774874.

In the new setup, all per-interface DOM binding files are exported into
mozilla/dom.  General files not specific to an interface are also exported into
mozilla/dom.

In terms of namespaces, most things now live in mozilla::dom.  Each interface
Foo that has generated code has a mozilla::dom::FooBinding namespace for said
generated code (and possibly a mozilla::bindings::FooBinding_workers if there's
separate codegen for workers).

IDL enums are a bit weird: since the name of the enum and the names of its
entries all end up in the same namespace, we still generate a C++ namespace
with the name of the IDL enum type with "Values" appended to it, with a
::valuelist inside for the actual C++ enum.  We then typedef
EnumFooValues::valuelist to EnumFoo.  That makes it a bit more difficult to
refer to the values, but means that values from different enums don't collide
with each other.

The enums with the proto and constructor IDs in them now live under the
mozilla::dom::prototypes and mozilla::dom::constructors namespaces respectively.
Again, this lets us deal sanely with the whole "enum value names are flattened
into the namespace the enum is in" deal.

The main benefit of this setup (and the reason "Binding" got appended to the
per-interface namespaces) is that this way "using mozilla::dom" should Just
Work for consumers and still allow C++ code to sanely use the IDL interface
names for concrete classes, which is fairly desirable.

Currently to serialize principals stored in JSScript we have a rather complex
schema. First there is the transcode callback that the embedding must provide
to transcode principals using XDR API. Second we use rather complex glue code
to implement that callback in terms of writing/reading nsIObjectOutputStream/
nsIObjectInputStream. This glue code is duplicated in 3 places. All this can
be avoided if we simply delegate transcoding of principals to the caller. In
addition, at least in the case of the cached startup scripts we do not even
need to transcode the principals as the the cached scripts always have the
system principal so we can skip all the transcode complexity there.

The patch implemnts this idea. In particular, the code in JS engine
responsible for transcoding of principals is replaced by the single API
function JS_XDRSetPrincipals that the embedding can use to set principals for
decoded scripts and functions. Then the startup cache uses this to set the
principals for the decoded script to the system principals. The other two
places in nsJSContext::Serialize and  XBL_SerializeFunction that need to
serialize principals together with a function or script now uses common
utilities in nsXPConnect so the serialization complexity resides in the single
 place.
