e56745d75b Bug 620931 part 3 - Allow GRE and XUL application to use omni.jar independently. r=bsmedberg,r=mwu 
We now store two independent locations for an omni.jar, allowing GRE/XRE and
XUL application to each have their own omni.jar. And since xulrunner setups
are very independent from the XUL applications, we implement support for both
omni.jar and non omni.jar cases in the same runtime, with the side effect of
allowing to switch from one to the other manually without rebuilding the
binaries.

We let the mozilla::Omnijar API handle both cases, so that callers don't need
too much work to support them.

We also make the preferences service load the same set of preferences in all
the various cases (unified vs. separate, omni.jar vs. no omni.jar).

The child process launcher for IPC is modified to pass the base directories
needed for the mozilla::Omnijar API initialization in the child process.

Finally, the startupcache file name canonicalization is modified to separate
APP and GRE resources.

dd94d998a3 Bug 650379. Add a new XPCOM timer type that is like TYPE_REPEATING_PRECISE but does not swamp the event queue if the callback takes longer than the timer interval to run. r=cjones, sr=brendan 
This implements proposal 3 from bug 650379 comment 13.  The main difference
between TYPE_REPEATING_PRECISE and TYPE_REPEATING_PRECISE_CAN_SKIP is to not
AddTimer the REPEATING_PRECISE_CAN_SKIP timer until after the callback has run;
this guarantees that no more timer events will be posted until after the
callback finishes executing.  A secondary change is to make
REPEATING_PRECISE_CAN_SKIP timers advance their firing time to mDelay from when
PostTimerEvent is called, not mDelay from the old mTimeout.  While this arguably
makes them less precise, the alternative is that if a timer is significantly
delayed for some reason (e.g. because the user puts the computer to sleep for a
while) it will then fire a whole bunch of times to "catch up" to where it's
supposed to be, advancing its firing time by mDelay at a time.  That seems
undesirable.

An alternate approach would have been to readd the timer from inside
PostTimerEvent, but only if we're not in the middle of firing the timer. That
would allow more precise timers in the case when the callback is not taking too
long, but still handle gracefully the case when the callback is
slow. Unfortunately this falls down if something _else_ is hogging the main
thread event loop (e.g. some other timer has a slow callback, or whatever); in
that case we would post multiple events for the one precise timer while the
event-loop-hogging operation is running. So I don't think we should do that.

b0924cc77f Bug 620931 part 3 - Allow GRE and XUL application to use omni.jar independently. r=bsmedberg,r=mwu 
We now store two independent locations for an omni.jar, allowing GRE/XRE and
XUL application to each have their own omni.jar. And since xulrunner setups
are very independent from the XUL applications, we implement support for both
omni.jar and non omni.jar cases in the same runtime, with the side effect of
allowing to switch from one to the other manually without rebuilding the
binaries.

We let the mozilla::Omnijar API handle both cases, so that callers don't need
too much work to support them.

We also make the preferences service load the same set of preferences in all
the various cases (unified vs. separate, omni.jar vs. no omni.jar).

The child process launcher for IPC is modified to pass the base directories
needed for the mozilla::Omnijar API initialization in the child process.

Finally, the startupcache file name canonicalization is modified to separate
APP and GRE resources.

Adds a new method to NetUtil (readInputStreamToString) that will read a string
with or without embedded NULLs from an input stream.  Also adds the needed API

1d0844d671 Revert many of the interface changes from bug 568691, so that binaries can be made which are compatible with Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4. 492155b10e Bug 568691 part C - Register all components based on reading .manifest files from the components directories. Binary components auto-register using "binary-component name.dll". JS components register using "component CID file.js" "contract @mozilla.org/contract;1 CID" and "category categoryname keyname value". 
This patch has some bugs, specifically we stop looking for .manifest files in chrome/. I will fix that in a followup. It also probably breaks non-libxul builds because of ordering issues.

Another followup will actually fix our in-tree JS components and add build machinery for creating a proper components.manifest file.

d194b9d486 Merge from m-c. 
Fair amount of merge conflicts.

Biggest item was changes to nsHttpChannel from web sockets changes.

Other likely suspects if things are borken:

nsFrameLoader.cpp:
    - nsFrameLoader::EnsureMessageManager: pass "this" (orig e10s code) or
      nsnull (m-c) to local process call to new nsFrameMessageManager(),
      callback arg?  Smaug said null.
    - only calling SetCallBackData for local case.  also +r smaug.

nsPrefBranch.cpp had fairly extensive merge conflicts.

nsChromeRegistry had lots of changes.

Dougt did most of the non-necko changes (thanks).

2dfa353c0b Followup to bug 541446 - nsIEnvironment.set will intentionally leak a string when you call it because that is required by the PR_SetEnv API. Make that string something which is not tracked by our leak detector

d62f1fe600 But 535564 part 3 - don't inherit leak/bloat log handles from parent to child processes on Windows: the Java plugin spawns a process which can remain after our Firefox/plugin processes are properly cleaned up, preventing the log files from being closed, r=jgriffin over IRC
