strncat()'s third argument is how many bytes will be added *in addition* to already existing bytes in destination. Plus extra zero byte will be added after that. So existing use in test_sockmap has many opportunities to overflow the string and cause memory corruptions. And in this case, GCC complains for a good reason. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
