Patch 6e20a0a4 "gpio: pcf857x: enable gpio_to_irq() support"
added IRQ domain support to the pcf857x driver, but some configurations
(e.g. davinci_all_defconfig) don't already enable CONFIG_IRQ_DOMAIN.
Always selecting it from the Kconfig in this case is what other
such drivers do as well, and avoids these build errors:
Without this patch, building davinci_all_defconfig results in:

address zero") from the arm-current tree and commit c279443709 ("ARM:
Add fixed PCI i/o mapping") from the arm-soc tree conflict in
a nontrivial way in arch/arm/mm/mmu.c.
Rob Herring explains:
The PCI i/o reserved area has a dummy physical address of 0 and
needs to be skipped by ioremap searches. So we don't set
VM_ARM_STATIC_MAPPING to prevent matches by ioremap. The vm_struct
settings don't really matter when we do the real mapping of the
i/o space.

I currently carry the series to make of_device_id->data const in the
arm-soc tree, which fixes a number of issues, but leaves one new
compiler warning about the twl-regulator driver:
drivers/regulator/twl-regulator.c: In function 'twlreg_probe':
drivers/regulator/twl-regulator.c:1130:8: warning: assignment discards 'const'
qualifier from pointer target type [enabled by default]
drivers/regulator/twl-regulator.c:1139:9: warning: assignment discards 'const'
qualifier from pointer target type [enabled by default]
The warning indicates that the driver takes a static table with
initialization data for each regulator, modifies the data in place
and passes a pointer to that structure to the regulator_register
function. This is probably ok because a system contains only one
instance of each regulator, but it's still bad style because any
driver should be written to support multiple instances of the same
hardware.
This patch changes the code to dynamically allocate the memory
we pass to the regulator core so the table can be constant.

Using 'select' in Kconfig is hard, a platform cannot just
enable a driver without also making sure that its subsystem
is there. Also, there is no actual code dependency between
the platform and the gpio leds driver.
Without this patch, building without LEDS_CLASS esults in:
drivers/built-in.o: In function `create_gpio_led.part.2':
governor_userspace.c:(.devinit.text+0x5a58): undefined reference to `led_classdev_register'
drivers/built-in.o: In function `gpio_led_remove':
governor_userspace.c:(.devexit.text+0x6b8): undefined reference to `led_classdev_unregister'
This reverts 8733f53c6 "ARM: ux500: Kconfig: Compile in leds-gpio
support for Snowball" that introduced the regression and did not
provide a helpful explanation.
In order to leave the GPIO LED code still present in normal
builds, this also enables the symbol in u8500_defconfig, in addition
to the other LED drivers that are already selected there.

The head-v7.S contains a call to the generic cpu_suspend function,
which is only available when selected by the i.MX6 code. As
pointed out by Shawn Guo, i.MX5 does not actually use any
functions defined in head-v7.S. It is also needed only for
the i.MX6 power management code and for the SMP code, so
we can restrict building this file to situations in which
at least one of those two is present.
Finally, other platforms with a similar file call it headsmp.S,
so we can rename it to the same for consistency.

Commit 7212157267 ("GPIO: gpio-pxa: fix devicetree functions") added an
"xlate" function pointer to the irq_domain_ops, but this function is nor
declared or defined anywhere when CONFIG_OF is disabled, causing the
build error:
drivers/gpio/gpio-pxa.c:532:11: error: 'irq_domain_xlate_twocell' undeclared here (not in a function)
Extending the DT-only code section to cover the irq_domain_ops and the
pxa_gpio_dt_ids solves this problem and makes it clearer which code is
actually used without DT.

Patch b6d1c33a31 "ARM: Orion: Consolidate the address map setup" tried

AT91 SoC related code modifications: a cleanup in defconfigs and
a one liner in a board file.
The most important is the move to atmel-mci driver in AT91 SoC & boards.
The old at91_mci (marked as deprecated) will be removed in 3.7. So all
platform data for this old driver are erased and replace by information
needed by atmel-mci driver.

From Rob Herring <robherring2@gmail.com>:
This is the 2nd part of mach/io.h removals. This series removes io.h on
platforms with PCI by creating a fixed virtual I/O mapping and a common
__io() macro.
This version has changed a bit to accommodate Tegra converting its PCIe
host to a platform driver. Now the virtual space is only reserved during
early boot before .map_io() is called. The mapping is not created until
calling pci_ioremap_io which can be done at any point after vmalloc is
initialized.
I've gone back to fixed 64K windows for each PCI bus. This allows
removing all the i/o resource setup from the individually platforms and
placing it within the common ARM PCI code.
I've only tested versatilepb under qemu (with the model hacked up to
actually enable i/o space), so any testing is appreciated. iop3xx and
mv78xx0 have some risk of breaking as the PCI bus addresses are moved
to 0 from matching the cpu host bus addesss.

Based on Linus Walleij's ARM LED consolidation work, this patchset introduce a
new generic led trigger for CPU not only for ARM but also for others.
For enabling CPU idle event, CPU arch code should call ledtrig_cpu() stub to
trigger idle start or idle end event.
These patches convert old style LED driver in arch/arm to gpio_led or new led
driver interface. Against 3.5 release and build successfully for all the machines.
Test ledtrig-cpu driver on OMAP4 Panda board.
v9 --> v10
* fix compiling issue on versatile_defconfig reported by Russell King
* rebase to 3.5 kernel and move patches to new git tree
v8 --> v9:
* use mutex to replace rw_sema pointed out by Tim Gardner
* add a new struct led_trigger_cpu
* add lock_is_inited to record mutex lock initialization
v6 --> v7:

The newly added gpio-em driver marks its em_gio_irq_domain_cleanup
function as __devexit, which would lead to that function being
discarded in case CONFIG_HOTPLUG is disabled. However, the function
is also called by the error handling logic em_gio_probe, which
would cause a jump into a NULL pointer if it was removed from the
kernel or module.
Without this patch, building kzm9d_defconfig results in:

The function __devinit em_gio_probe() references
a function __devexit em_gio_irq_domain_cleanup().
This is often seen when error handling in the init function
uses functionality in the exit path.
The fix is often to remove the __devexit annotation of
em_gio_irq_domain_cleanup() so it may be used outside an exit section.

The EETI touchscreen asserts its IRQ line as soon as it has data in its
internal buffers. The line is automatically deasserted once all data has
been read via I2C. Hence, the driver has to monitor the GPIO line and
cannot simply rely on the interrupt handler reception.
In the current implementation of the driver, irq_to_gpio() is used to
determine the GPIO number from the i2c_client's IRQ value.
As irq_to_gpio() is not available on all platforms, this patch changes
this and makes the driver ignore the passed in IRQ. Instead, a GPIO is
added to the platform_data struct and gpio_to_irq is used to derive the
IRQ from that GPIO. If this fails, bail out. The driver is only able to
work in environments where the touchscreen GPIO can be mapped to an
IRQ.
