Device Tree to collect our IRQ numbers, it's actually better to allow
the core to do this during device registration time. So the IRQ number
we pull from its resource has already been converted to a virtual IRQ.

of_irq_find_parent is a handy function to use outside the confines of
the Open Firmware subsystem. One such use-case is when the IRQ Domain
wishes to find an IRQ domain for a given device node. Currently it can
not take any notice of the 'interrupt-parent' property. Instead it
just uses the first IRQ controller as it climbs the Device Tree. If
we were to use this as a precursor the resultant controller is more
likely to be correct.

As the AB8500 is a subordinate MFD device to the DB8500-PRCMU,
for consistency and a better 1:1 depiction of how the hardware
is laid out, it is a good idea to register it in the same way
as we do for the other MFD child devices. In order for us to do
this successfully we have to pass AB8500's platform data when
registering the DB8500-PRCMU from platform code.

During Device Tree enablement of the ab8500 and db8500-prcmu drivers,
a decision was made to omit registration through the MFD API and use
Device Tree directly. However, because MFD devices have a different
address space and the ab8500 and db8500 both use I2C to communicate,
this causes issues with address translation during execution of
of_platform_populate(). So the solution is to make the MFD core aware
of Device Tree and have it assign the correct node pointers instead.
To make this work the MFD core also needs to be awere of IRQ domains,
as Device Tree insists on IRQ domain compatibility. So, instead of
providing an irq-base via platform code, in the DT case we simply
look up the IRQ domain and map to the correct virtual IRQ.

There is only one method used to communicate with the DB8500 PRCMU, via I2C.
Now this can be assumed, there is no requirement to specify the protocol in
the function name. This patch removes protocol specifics and uses a more
generic naming convention.

When pin control mapping tables are written the registered device
name is supplied for use in name-based searches within the pinctrl
driver. In the case of the DB8500 the string "pinctrl-db8500" is
used. However, when we register the driver with Device Tree, its
naming convention uses something that looks more like "pinctrl.2".
To work around the device naming inconsistencies between devices
registered via platform code and the ones registered by Device
Tree, we use AUXDATA to over-ride the Device Tree naming scheme.

When MACH_UX500_DT and all related Device Tree configurations are forced
off the warning and error below prevent the kernel from compiling. This
simple patch fixes both issues and allows for full build and boot of
ST-Ericsson's low-cost development board, Snowball.
Warnings fixed:
arch/arm/mach-ux500/board-mop500.c:680:32: warning: ‘snowball_of_platform_devs’ defined but not used
Errors fixed:
arch/arm/mach-ux500/timer.c: In function ‘ux500_timer_init’:
arch/arm/mach-ux500/timer.c:66:3: error: implicit declaration of function ‘of_find_matching_node’

Sometimes it doesn't make any sense for a node to have an address.
In this case device lookup will always be unsuccessful because we
currently assume every node will have a reg property. This patch
changes the semantics so that the resource address and the lookup
address will only be compared if one exists.
Things like AUXDATA() rely on of_dev_lookup to return the lookup
entry of a particular device in order to do things like apply
platform_data to a device. However, this is currently broken for
nodes which do not have a reg property, meaning that platform_data
can not be passed in those cases.

When booting with Device Tree enabled, platform specific information
is gathered by parsing the DT binary. Platform data is subsequently
populated with the result. The memory required for this is not
automatically allocated during Device Tree boot, so we'll do it here

ST-Ericsson uses User Interface Boards to extend functionality of
some of their development boards. However, these aren't compatible
with all the supported boards found in Mainline (Snowball for
instance). This patch ensures that the UIBs are only probed on
boards which can actually support them. This in turn saves lots of
unnecessary error messages normally found in Snowball's boot log.

drivers from being registered from platform code when Device Tree is

provide the relevant compatible strings, so that DT knows which nodes
it needs to pay attention to during population.

This patch applies the correct format requested by the irq
domain. For chained IRQs which use GPIO lines as IRQs, we
stipulate that a two cell request is required. The first cell
contains the requested IRQ and the second can contain flags
pertaining to edge detection and level sensitive values. The
zeroth cell specifies the GPIO controller by use of a phandle.
