Petr Vandrovec 2707cd016b nvidiafb: Fix reversed DDC port
After I added some debugging printks I've found that code became a bit
confused because it believed that primary monitor is 1920x540, but later it
found in CRTC0's registers that panel size is 1920x1200 (Windows also agree
that 1920x1200 is primary monitor, and 1920x1080i secondary one).

When I applied attached patch then my monitor became as happy as it was
before I connected HDMI cable to secondary output.

Petr Vandrovec 30bac7aa0e [PATCH] pcmcia: Add support for Possio GCC AKA PCMCIA Siemens MC45
This ugly hack add support for Siemens MC45 PCMCIA GPRS card (which is
identical to Possio GCC, and which is offered by one of our local GPRS
providers). Card has unfortunate feature that after poweron oxcf950 chip
is fully powered and works, but attached MC45 modem is powered down :-(
There is a special sequence (which takes 1 sec :-( ) to poweron MC45 (and
after MC45 powers on, it takes more than 2 secs until firmware fully
boots...) which needs to be executed after all powerons.

I'm really not familiar with PCMCIA subsystem, so I have no idea whether I
should issue request_region() on rest of oxcf950 address range (0-7 is
UART, 8-F are special configuration registers), or how this should be
better integrated with PM system and so on - I just put it in same place
where another hack already lived...

Card uses 18.432MHz XTAL, so to get it to work you must add lines below to
the /etc/pcmcia/serial.opts.

case "$MANFID-$FUNCID-$PRODID_1-$PRODID_2-$PRODID_3-$PRODID_4" in
'030c,0003-2-GPRS-CARD--')
    SERIAL_OPTS="baud_base 1152000"

Petr Vandrovec ada0c2f8fa [PATCH] hwmon: Fix w83627ehf/hf vs PNPACPI conflict (bug #4014)
This patch changes w83627hf and w83627ehf drivers to reserve only ports
0x295-0x296, instead of full 0x290-0x297 range. While some other
sensors chips respond to all addresses in 0x290-0x297 range, Winbond
chips respond to 0x295-0x296 only (this behavior is implied by
documentation, and matches behavior observed on real systems). This is
not problem alone, as no BIOS was found to put something at these unused
addresses, and sensors chip itself provides nothing there as well.

But in addition to only respond to these two addresses, also BIOS
vendors report in their ACPI-PnP structures that there is some resource
at I/O address 0x295 of length 2. And when later this hwmon driver
attempts to request region with base 0x290/length 8, it fails as one
request_region cannot span more than one device.

Due to this we have to ask only for region this hardware really
occupies, otherwise driver cannot be loaded on systems with ACPI-PnP
enabled.

Petr Vandrovec 403fe5ae57 [PATCH] rtc: msleep() cannot be used from interrupt
Since the beginning of July my Opteron box was randomly crashing and
being rebooted by hardware watchdog. Today it finally did it in front
of me, and this patch will hopefully fix it.

The problem is that at the end of June (the 28th, to be exact: commit
47f176fdaf, "[PATCH] Using msleep()
instead of HZ") rtc_get_rtc_time was converted to use msleep() instead
of busy waiting. But rtc_get_rtc_time is used by hpet_rtc_interrupt,
and scheduling is not allowed during interrupt. So I'm reverting this
part of original change, replacing msleep() back with busy loop.

The original code was busy waiting for up to 20ms, but on my hardware in
the worst case update-in-progress bit was asserted for at most 363
passes through loop (on 2GHz dual Opteron), much less than even one
jiffie, not even talking about 20ms. So I changed code to just wait
only as long as necessary. Otherwise when RTC was set to generate
8192Hz timer, it stopped doing anything for 20ms (160 pulses were
skipped!) from time to time, and this is rather suboptimal as far as I
can tell.

Petr Vandrovec f1fc3990e2 [PATCH] serial_cs device identification fix
serial_cs's vendor/device identification got broken by Yum Rayan's change
'[PATCH] serial_cs: Reduce stack usage in serial_event()' - it changed buf
type from u_short* to char*, breaking device manufacturer & card number
retrieval. Due to this my modem stopped from being recognized as special
case.

Code will work much better if we'll rely on first_tuple's parser instead of
doing parse ourselves. Code also looks simpler after change.
