The patch "dw_mmc: fix multiple drv_data NULL dereferences" has
unfortunately clashed with my "mmc: dw_mmc: constify dw_mci_idmac_ops

This should hopefully fix the issue for good.

This series will do the following:
- Switch the Integrator/AP and /CP to use the SoC bus
when booting from device tree.
- Group all devices on the SoC below this bus so as to
set a good example of how to do this. The bus was
invented by Lee Jones, let's show how it's to be used
on a DT:ed SoC.
- Fetch the special system controller offsets from two
special device tree nodes for each case and replace
the static mappings with these at boot.
- Move some static remaps to the ATAG-only code path
and delete some static maps that aren't used.
- Push dependencies on system controller remaps down
to the Integrator/AP board file and the PCIv3 driver
respectively and use only dynamic remappings.
- Fix up conditional BUG() usage in the PCIv3 driver
to be simpler and more to the point.

The ixp4xx queue manager uses "const struct qmgr_regs __iomem *" as the
type for a pointer that is passed to __raw_writel, which is not
allowed because of the const-ness.

The map_word_load() function initializes exactly
as many words in the buffer as required, but gcc
cannot figure this out and gives a misleading
warning. Marking the local variable as
uninitialized_var shuts up that warning.

The diskonchip drivers traditionally use home-grown macros for
doing MMIO accesses, which cause a lot of warnings, at least
on ARM machines:
drivers/mtd/devices/doc2000.c: In function 'doc_write':
drivers/mtd/devices/doc2000.c:854:5: warning: value computed is not used [-Wunused-value]
drivers/mtd/devices/doc2000.c: In function 'doc_erase':
drivers/mtd/devices/doc2000.c:1123:5: warning: value computed is not used [-Wunused-value
drivers/mtd/nand/diskonchip.c: In function 'doc2000_read_byte':
drivers/mtd/nand/diskonchip.c:318:3: warning: value computed is not used [-Wunused-value]
A nicer solution is to use the architecture-defined I/O accessors.
Here, we use the __raw_readl/__raw_writel style, instead of the
proper readl/writel ones, in order to preserve the odd semantics
of the existing macros that have their own barrier implementation
and no byte swap. It would be nice to fix this properly and use
the correct accessors as well as make the word size independent
from the architecture, but I guess the hardware is obsolete
enough that we should better not mess the driver an more than
necessary.

Enabling the diskonchip drivers on most architectures results
in a pointless warning "#warning Unknown architecture for
DiskOnChip. No default probe locations defined". The driver
can in fact handle the default location already through the
CONFIG_MTD_DOCPROBE_ADDRESS, which gets set on the platforms
that need it, and we get a run-time error if this is not
set correctly.

Common clock framework for omap2+ via Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com>:

at commit c9d501e5cb are here:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/common_clk_devel_3.8_rebase/20121112192516/
However, cleanup-prcm at c9d501e5 does not include some fixes
that are needed for a successful test. With several reverts,
fixes, and workarounds applied, the following test logs were
obtained:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/TEST_common_clk_devel_3.8_rebase/20121112192300/
which indicate that the series tests cleanly.
N.B. The common clock data addition patches result in many
checkpatch warnings of the form "WARNING: static const char *
array should probably be static const char * const". However, it
appears that resolving these would require changes to the CCF
itself. So the resolution of these warnings is being postponed
until that can be coordinated.
These patches result in a ~55KiB increase in runtime kernel memory
usage when booting omap2plus_defconfig kernels.

More PRCM cleanups via Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com>:
Second set of OMAP PRCM cleanups for 3.8.
These patches remove the use of omap_prcm_get_reset_sources() from the
OMAP watchdog driver, and remove mach-omap2/prcm.c and
plat-omap/include/plat/prcm.h.
Basic test logs for this branch on top of Tony's cleanup-prcm branch
at commit 7fc54fd308 are here:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151646/
However, cleanup-prcm at 7fc54fd3 does not include some fixes
that are needed for a successful test. With several reverts,
fixes, and workarounds applied, the following test logs were
obtained:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/TEST_prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151930/
which indicate that the series tests cleanly.
This second pull request updates one of the patches which broke
with rmk's allnoconfigs, and also updates the tag description to
indicate that 7fc54fd3 is building cleanly here.

This series fixes an annoying regression to make MUSB working
on omap4 again. Although it's getting rather late for these
changes for the -rc cycle, it is important as many devices
are using MUSB for charging and connectivity.
With the USB PHY changes, MUSB started using the newly added
drivers/usb/phy/omap-usb2.c driver introduced by commit
657b306a (usb: phy: add a new driver for omap usb2 phy)
that is using the newly introduced drivers/bus/omap-ocp2scp.c
introduced by commit 26a84b3e (drivers: bus: add a new driver
for omap-ocp2scp).
These changes allowed dropping a lot of PHY related code from
arch/arm/mach-omap2/omap_phy_internal.c and have it live in
the device driver like it should with commit c9e4412a (arm: omap:
phy: remove unused functions from omap-phy-internal.c).
However, MUSB on omap4 broke with these changes for legacy
platform data boot, and now only works with device tree for
omap4. Unfortunately we are still few critical bindings away
from being able to make omap4 usbale with device tree.
Fix the regression properly by adding platform data support
to the ocp2scp driver so we can avoid adding back the driver
code to arch/arm/mach-omap2.

The definition of ARCH_SLAB_MINALIGN is architecture dependent
and can be either of type size_t or int. Comparing that value

them is safe and gets rid of the warning.

The driver has not been building for some time after the
irq_to_gpio function has been removed from the kernel.
The only board in the upstream kernel that provides
this device is the "Stargate 2", which is also maintained
by Jonathan Cameron. Rather than working around the problem
by adding new platform data for this driver, this patch
uses the of_gpio framework to get to the gpio number.
However, the stargate2 code does not (yet) use DT based
probing, so it is still broken, but at least building
allyesconfig works again.

s3c2440_clk_add is a subsys_interface method and calls clkdev_add_table,
which is marked as __init. The modpost script complains about this
because we must not call an __init function from a function in the .text
section, and we cannot reference an __init function from a subsys_interface
pointer.
I have verified that the only code path into s3c2440_clk_add() is
from "int __init s3c2440_init(void)", so s3c2440_clk_add can be marked
__init_refok instead.
Without this patch, building mini2440_defconfig results in:

There is a subtle difference between dma_transfer_direction and
dma_data_direction: the former is used by the dmaengine framework,
while the latter is used by the dma-mapping API. Although the

The Linaro cross toolchain and probably others nowadays default to
building in THUMB2 mode. When building a kernel for a CPU that does
not support THUMB2, the compiler complains about incorrect flags.
We can work around this by setting -marm for all non-T2 builds.
-marm was passed unconditionally for C files previously, but nothing was
passed to the gcc frontend when processing .S files, resulting in a
warning. The assembler never defaults to ARM unless -Wa,-mthumb is
supplied explicitly, so the files were still assembled correctly.
This patch makes sure that -marm is passed for .S files too, and also
avoids the redundant gcc -marm -mthumb in Thumb kernels.

Patch 35f2b0bd59 "ARM: shmobile: Move definition of shmobile_init_late()
to header" moved the definition of the shmobile_init_late function, but
dropped the __init annotation, which is now causing warnings because
the function calls shmobile_suspend_init, which is also marked init.
Without this patch, building kota2_defconfig results in:
WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0xb7c8): Section mismatch in reference from the function shmobile_init_late() to the function .init.text:shmobile_suspend_init()
The function shmobile_init_late() references
the function __init shmobile_suspend_init().
This is often because shmobile_init_late lacks a __init
annotation or the annotation of shmobile_suspend_init is wrong.
