Useful Info
The amount of Background frames you can have depends on the mem use used. Each image uses the next PowerOf2 in a axis multiplied by 4 bytes. So for example a 720 x 480 image is actually stored as 1024 x 512. Therefore 1024 x 512 x 4 = 2097152 bytes.
The set limit of loading backgrounds is set exactly to 20MB Since PrometheOS stretches your images to fit screen, it is possible to use smaller background images allowing for more frames.
In the case where you have lower quality images for background you can add a background overlay which then gets superimposed ontop of your background, makign things look crisp and clean where it matters the most.
As an addition example using 256 x 256 images for background, means you can have up to 80 frames.
