Breno LeitaoandCatalin Marinas 3ea4415015 ACPI: arm64: cpuidle: Tolerate platforms with no deep PSCI idle states
Commit cac173bea5 ("ACPI: processor: idle: Rework the handling of
acpi_processor_ffh_lpi_probe()") moved the acpi_processor_ffh_lpi_probe()
call from acpi_processor_setup_cpuidle_dev(), where its return value was
ignored, to acpi_processor_get_power_info(), where it is now treated as
a hard failure. As a result, platforms where psci_acpi_cpu_init_idle()
returned -ENODEV stopped registering any cpuidle states, forcing CPUs to
busy-poll when idle.

On NVIDIA Grace (aarch64) systems with PSCIv1.1, pr->power.count is 1
(only WFI, no deep PSCI states beyond it), so the previous
"count = pr->power.count - 1; if (count <= 0) return -ENODEV;" check
returned -ENODEV for all 72 CPUs and disabled cpuidle entirely.

The lpi_states count is already validated in acpi_processor_get_lpi_info(),
so the check here is redundant. Simplify the loop to iterate over
lpi_states[1..power.count). When only WFI is present, the loop body
simply does not execute and the function returns 0, which is the correct
outcome: there is nothing to validate for FFH and no error to report.

Linus Torvalds bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

Kees Cook 69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Lorenzo PieralisiandRafael J. Wysocki 05bff3419a irqchip/gic-v5: Add ACPI IWB probing
To probe an IWB in an ACPI based system it is required:

- to implement the IORT functions handling the IWB IORT node and create
functions to retrieve IWB firmware information
- to augment the driver to match the DSDT ACPI "ARMH0003" device and
retrieve the IWB wire and trigger mask from the GSI interrupt descriptor
  in the IWB msi_domain_ops.msi_translate() function

Make the required driver changes to enable IWB probing in ACPI systems.

The GICv5 GSI format requires special handling for IWB routed IRQs.

Add IWB GSI detection to the top level driver gic_v5_get_gsi_domain_id()
function so that the correct IRQ domain for a GSI can be detected by
parsing the GSI and check whether it is an IWB-backed IRQ or not.

Lorenzo PieralisiandRafael J. Wysocki a97efa5ba5 irqchip/gic-v5: Add ACPI ITS probing
On ACPI ARM64 systems the GICv5 ITS configuration and translate frames
are described in the MADT table.

Refactor the current GICv5 ITS driver code to share common functions
between ACPI and OF and implement ACPI probing in the GICv5 ITS driver.

Add iort_msi_xlate() to map a device ID and retrieve an MSI controller
fwnode node for ACPI systems and update pci_msi_map_rid_ctlr_node() to
use it in its ACPI code path.

Pull arm64 updates from Catalin Marinas:
"These are the arm64 updates for 6.19.

The biggest part is the Arm MPAM driver under drivers/resctrl/.
There's a patch touching mm/ to handle spurious faults for huge pmd
(similar to the pte version). The corresponding arm64 part allows us
to avoid the TLB maintenance if a (huge) page is reused after a write
fault. There's EFI refactoring to allow runtime services with
preemption enabled and the rest is the usual perf/PMU updates and
  several cleanups/typos.

  Summary:

  Core features:

   - Basic Arm MPAM (Memory system resource Partitioning And Monitoring)
driver under drivers/resctrl/ which makes use of the fs/rectrl/ API

  Perf and PMU:

   - Avoid cycle counter on multi-threaded CPUs

   - Extend CSPMU device probing and add additional filtering support
     for NVIDIA implementations

   - Add support for the PMUs on the NoC S3 interconnect

   - Add additional compatible strings for new Cortex and C1 CPUs

   - Add support for data source filtering to the SPE driver

   - Add support for i.MX8QM and "DB" PMU in the imx PMU driver

  Memory managemennt:

   - Avoid broadcast TLBI if page reused in write fault

   - Elide TLB invalidation if the old PTE was not valid

   - Drop redundant cpu_set_*_tcr_t0sz() macros

   - Propagate pgtable_alloc() errors outside of __create_pgd_mapping()

   - Propagate return value from __change_memory_common()

  ACPI and EFI:

   - Call EFI runtime services without disabling preemption

   - Remove unused ACPI function

  Miscellaneous:

   - ptrace support to disable streaming on SME-only systems

   - Improve sysreg generation to include a 'Prefix' descriptor

   - Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__

   - Align register dumps in the kselftest zt-test

   - Remove some no longer used macros/functions

   - Various spelling corrections"

Add code to parse the arm64 specific MPAM table, looking up the cache
level from the PPTT and feeding the end result into the MPAM driver.

This happens in two stages. Platform devices are created first for the

to discover the RIS entries the MSC contains.

For now the MPAM hook mpam_ris_create() is stubbed out, but will update
the MPAM driver with optional discovered data about the RIS entries.

If krealloc_array() fails in iort_rmr_alloc_sids(), the function returns

memory leak since the caller overwrites the original pointer with the

Robin MurphyandJoerg Roedel bcb81ac6ae iommu: Get DT/ACPI parsing into the proper probe path
In hindsight, there were some crucial subtleties overlooked when moving
{of,acpi}_dma_configure() to driver probe time to allow waiting for
IOMMU drivers with -EPROBE_DEFER, and these have become an
ever-increasing source of problems. The IOMMU API has some fundamental
assumptions that iommu_probe_device() is called for every device added
to the system, in the order in which they are added. Calling it in a
random order or not at all dependent on driver binding leads to
malformed groups, a potential lack of isolation for devices with no
driver, and all manner of unexpected concurrency and race conditions.
We've attempted to mitigate the latter with point-fix bodges like
iommu_probe_device_lock, but it's a losing battle and the time has come
to bite the bullet and address the true source of the problem instead.

The crux of the matter is that the firmware parsing actually serves two
distinct purposes; one is identifying the IOMMU instance associated with
a device so we can check its availability, the second is actually
telling that instance about the relevant firmware-provided data for the
device. However the latter also depends on the former, and at the time
there was no good place to defer and retry that separately from the
availability check we also wanted for client driver probe.

Nowadays, though, we have a proper notion of multiple IOMMU instances in
the core API itself, and each one gets a chance to probe its own devices
upon registration, so we can finally make that work as intended for
DT/IORT/VIOT platforms too. All we need is for iommu_probe_device() to
be able to run the iommu_fwspec machinery currently buried deep in the
wrong end of {of,acpi}_dma_configure(). Luckily it turns out to be
surprisingly straightforward to bootstrap this transformation by pretty
much just calling the same path twice. At client driver probe time,
dev->driver is obviously set; conversely at device_add(), or a
subsequent bus_iommu_probe(), any device waiting for an IOMMU really
should *not* have a driver already, so we can use that as a condition to
disambiguate the two cases, and avoid recursing back into the IOMMU core
at the wrong times.

Obviously this isn't the nicest thing, but for now it gives us a
functional baseline to then unpick the layers in between without many
more awkward cross-subsystem patches. There are some minor side-effects
like dma_range_map potentially being created earlier, and some debug
prints being repeated, but these aren't significantly detrimental. Let's
make things work first, then deal with making them nice.

With the basic flow finally in the right order again, the next step is
probably turning the bus->dma_configure paths inside-out, since all we
really need from bus code is its notion of which device and input ID(s)
to parse the common firmware properties with...

Linus Torvalds 341d041daa Merge tag 'for-linus-iommufd' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jgg/iommufd
Pull iommufd updates from Jason Gunthorpe:
"Several new features and uAPI for iommufd:

   - IOMMU_IOAS_MAP_FILE allows passing in a file descriptor as the
backing memory for an iommu mapping. To date VFIO/iommufd have used
VMA's and pin_user_pages(), this now allows using memfds and
memfd_pin_folios(). Notably this creates a pure folio path from the
memfd to the iommu page table where memory is never broken down to
     PAGE_SIZE.

   - IOMMU_IOAS_CHANGE_PROCESS moves the pinned page accounting between
two processes. Combined with the above this allows iommufd to
support a VMM re-start using exec() where something like qemu would
exec() a new version of itself and fd pass the memfds/iommufd/etc
to the new process. The memfd allows DMA access to the memory to
continue while the new process is getting setup, and the
     CHANGE_PROCESS updates all the accounting.

   - Support for fault reporting to userspace on non-PRI HW, such as ARM
     stall-mode embedded devices.

   - IOMMU_VIOMMU_ALLOC introduces the concept of a HW/driver backed
virtual iommu. This will be used by VMMs to access hardware
features that are contained with in a VM. The first use is to
inform the kernel of the virtual SID to physical SID mapping when
issuing SID based invalidation on ARM. Further uses will tie HW
features that are directly accessed by the VM, such as invalidation
     queue assignment and others.

   - IOMMU_VDEVICE_ALLOC informs the kernel about the mapping of virtual
device to physical device within a VIOMMU. Minimially this is used
to translate VM issued cache invalidation commands from virtual to
     physical device IDs.

   - Enhancements to IOMMU_HWPT_INVALIDATE and IOMMU_HWPT_ALLOC to work
     with the VIOMMU

   - ARM SMMuv3 support for nested translation. Using the VIOMMU and
VDEVICE the driver can model this HW's behavior for nested
translation. This includes a shared branch from Will"
