Installing HackerSM64

Welcome to HackerSM64! Whether this is your first time creating a ROM hack for Super Mario 64, an experienced hacker that's moving from binary tools such as ROM Manager, or even a decomp pro installing on a new computer, this is an important reference that you will likely need to use for all of the specific details of setting HackerSM64 up.

Operating System	Where to Start
Windows	If your computer is running Windows, start at the Installing WSL page. Alternatively you may use MinGW that does not require using WSL and virtual machines Installing MinGW.
Ubuntu	If your computer is running Ubuntu, start at the Installing Dependencies page.
Other Linux	If your computer is running a Linux distro other than Ubuntu, start at the Installing Dependencies page and use the installation instruction set for your distribution, if listed.
macOS	If your computer is running macOS, install Docker. Afterwards, start at the Installing Dependencies page. Alternatively, use Virtual Machine like UTM with Ubuntu.
