usb: uvc: Enumerate valid values for color matching
[ Upstream commit e16cab9c1596e251761d2bfb5e1467950d616963 ] The color matching descriptors defined in the UVC Specification contain 3 fields with discrete numeric values representing particular settings. Enumerate those values so that later code setting them can be more readable. Merge tag 'usb-6.0-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb
Pull USB / Thunderbolt updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the big set of Thunderbolt and USB changes for 6.0-rc1.
Lots of little things here, nothing major, just constant development
on some new hardware support and cleanups of older drivers. Highlights
are:
- lots of typec changes and improvements for new hardware
- new gadget controller driver
- thunderbolt support for new hardware
- the normal set of new usb-serial device ids and cleanups
- loads of dwc3 controller fixes and improvements
- mtu3 driver updates
- testusb fixes for longtime issues (not many people use this tool it
seems.)
- minor driver fixes and improvements over the USB tree
- chromeos platform driver changes were added and then reverted as
they depened on some typec changes, but the cross-tree merges
caused problems so they will come back later through the platform
tree.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while now with no reported
issues"

treewide: uapi: Replace zero-length arrays with flexible-array members
There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare
having a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure.
Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these
cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should
no longer be used[2].
This code was transformed with the help of Coccinelle:
(linux-5.19-rc2$ spatch --jobs $(getconf _NPROCESSORS_ONLN) --sp-file script.cocci --include-headers --dir . > output.patch)
@@
identifier S, member, array;
type T1, T2;
@@
struct S {
...
T1 member;
T2 array[
- 0
];
};
-fstrict-flex-arrays=3 is coming and we need to land these changes
to prevent issues like these in the short future:
../fs/minix/dir.c:337:3: warning: 'strcpy' will always overflow; destination buffer has size 0,
but the source string has length 2 (including NUL byte) [-Wfortify-source]
strcpy(de3->name, ".");
^
Since these are all [0] to [] changes, the risk to UAPI is nearly zero. If
this breaks anything, we can use a union with a new member name.

usb: gadget: f_uvc: add suspend and resume function
This patch adds uvc_function_suspend and uvc_function_resume for uvc function. With this patch, if usb bus enter suspend or resume state, the usb controller driver will call the uvc_function_suspend or uvc_function_resume to send event to uvc app. Change-Id: I9c584aae25298747c5a287243cb3efd71c8adfe6 Signed-off-by: William Wu <william.wu@rock-chips.com> Signed-off-by: Frank Wang <frank.wang@rock-chips.com> |

FROMLIST: usb: gadget: uvc: configfs: add framebased format support
As we know, The framebased format can be used to support a lot of formats other than YUV and MJPEG, for example: H264 or H265. And Nowadays, the H264 and H265 is used more and more compared to the MJPEG, so there is a need to support such usecase, although the new UVC 1.5 and the UVC1.1 extensions already support H264, but they are much more expensive and most of the time, what we need is just a channel to stream the video frames. In this patch, we implement the framebased format and set it to H264 by default, and the users could change the video format as they need through the guid configfs attribute node. usb: webcam: Invalid size of Processing Unit Descriptor
According with USB Device Class Definition for Video Device the Processing Unit Descriptor bLength should be 12 (10 + bmControlSize), but it has 11. Invalid length caused that Processing Unit Descriptor Test Video form CV tool failed. To fix this issue patch adds bmVideoStandards into uvc_processing_unit_descriptor structure. The bmVideoStandards field was added in UVC 1.1 and it wasn't part of UVC 1.0a. USB: usbtmc: Add separate USBTMC_IOCTL_GET_SRQ_STB
This new ioctl only returns the status byte (STB) that was originally sent by the device due to a service request (SRQ) condition. This ioctl checks the srq_asserted bit of the associated file descriptor. If set, the srq_asserted bit is reset and the cached STB with original SRQ information is returned. Otherwise the ioctl returns the error code ENOMSG. This ioctl is useful to support non USBTMC-488 compliant devices. Time sensitive applications can read the cached STB without incurring the cost of an urb transaction over the bus. USB: ch9: add "USB_" prefix in front of TEST defines
For some reason, the TEST_ defines in the usb/ch9.h files did not have the USB_ prefix on it, making it a bit confusing when reading the file, as well as not the nicest thing to do in a uapi file. So fix that up and add the USB_ prefix on to them, and fix up all in-kernel usages. This included deleting the duplicate copy in the net2272.h file. usb: raw-gadget: support stalling/halting/wedging endpoints
Raw Gadget is currently unable to stall/halt/wedge gadget endpoints,
which is required for proper emulation of certain USB classes.
This patch adds a few more ioctls:
- USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP0_STALL allows to stall control endpoint #0 when
there's a pending setup request for it.
- USB_RAW_IOCTL_SET/CLEAR_HALT/WEDGE allow to set/clear halt/wedge status
on non-control non-isochronous endpoints.

usb: raw-gadget: fix gadget endpoint selection
Currently automatic gadget endpoint selection based on required features
doesn't work. Raw Gadget tries iterating over the list of available
endpoints and finding one that has the right direction and transfer type.
Unfortunately selecting arbitrary gadget endpoints (even if they satisfy
feature requirements) doesn't work, as (depending on the UDC driver) they
might have fixed addresses, and one also needs to provide matching
endpoint addresses in the descriptors sent to the host.
The composite framework deals with this by assigning endpoint addresses
in usb_ep_autoconfig() before enumeration starts. This approach won't work
with Raw Gadget as the endpoints are supposed to be enabled after a
set_configuration/set_interface request from the host, so it's too late to
patch the endpoint descriptors that had already been sent to the host.
For Raw Gadget we take another approach. Similarly to GadgetFS, we allow
the user to make the decision as to which gadget endpoints to use.
This patch adds another Raw Gadget ioctl USB_RAW_IOCTL_EPS_INFO that
exposes information about all non-control endpoints that a currently
connected UDC has. This information includes endpoints addresses, as well
as their capabilities and limits to allow the user to choose the most
fitting gadget endpoint.
The USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_ENABLE ioctl is updated to use the proper endpoint
validation routine usb_gadget_ep_match_desc().
These changes affect the portability of the gadgets that use Raw Gadget
when running on different UDCs. Nevertheless, as long as the user relies
on the information provided by USB_RAW_IOCTL_EPS_INFO to dynamically
choose endpoint addresses, UDC-agnostic gadgets can still be written with
Raw Gadget.
