37b3226ba9 Bug 939318 - find and close HTTP connections without traffic after network change. r=mcmanus 
SPDY/http2 connections get a ping and be allowed N seconds to respond.

Active HTTP connections will be allowed N seconds to get traffic, if they
don't afer N seconds they get closed to avoid risking stalled transfers.

N is 5 by default: pref is "network.http.network-changed.timeout"

a5c8bcd2a0 Bug 1022825 - Implement Asynchronous Smooth Scrolling on Compositor Thread. r=kats 
- Extended nsIScrollableFrame and nsGfxScrollFrame to return destination
  of smooth scrolls which are to be animated on the compositor thread.
- Added apz.smooth_scroll_repaint_interval preference.
- Implemented AsyncPanZoomController::PanZoomState::SMOOTH_MSD_SCROLL state
  and AsyncPanZoomController::SmoothScrollAnimation class to animate smooth
  scroll animations on the compositor thread.
- Extended FrameMetrics to report requests for smooth scrolls to be animated
  on the compositor thread and their corresponding destination positions.
- AsyncPanZoomController now checks FrameMetrics for requests to perform
  smooth scrolling on the compositor thread.  It will ensure that they
  are cancelled as needed by mousewheel, touchpanel, keyboard, and
  CSSOM-View instant scrolling DOM methods.
- The layout/generic/test/test_scroll_behavior.html mochitest has been
  commented as depending on Bug 1062609 before being enabled for APZ.

a998be842d Bug 941296 - h.264 platform decoder for OS X. r=cpearce 
Implement an h.264 decoder using Apple's VideoToolbox framework.
Based on gstreamer's vtdec because there's very little documentation
for this API beyond the framework's header file.

Reuse the MOZ_APPLEMEDIA define from the mp3 decoder.

AAC decoding is stubbed to use the BlankDecoderModule's 440A tone.

Provide a stub header for the VideoToolbox framework and load
it dynamically at run time so we can build and run on versions
prior to MacOS X 10.8 where it's not available.

Dynamically load the CoreMedia framework as well, but build
against its headers since it's available on MacOS X 10.7 or
later, which is our minimum build version.

  of the smooth scroll motion.  spring-constant controls the strength of the
  simulated MSD (Mass-Spring-Damper).
- Added layout.css.scroll-behavior.damping-ratio preference to enable tuning
  of the smooth scroll motion.  damping-ratio controls the under, over, or
  critically damped behavior of the simulated MSD.

OS_LIBS for libraries that are not part of the gecko tree, EXTRA_LIBS for
libraries, such as NSPR, that are in the tree, but are not handled by
moz.build just yet. Those EXTRA_LIBS may also come from a system library.
However, in cases where the expanded variables are always empty for the
in-tree case, OS_LIBS is used (as for, e.g. MOZ_ZLIB_LIBS). OS_LDFLAGS is
used exclusively for non-library linker flags.

Always pass EXTRA_LIBS before OS_LIBS on linker command lines.

Forbid EXTRA_DSO_LDOPTS, SHARED_LIBRARY_LIBS and LIBS in Makefiles.

The -*- file variable lines -*- establish per-file settings that Emacs will
pick up. This patch makes the following changes to those lines (and touches
nothing else):

 - Never set the buffer's mode.

   Years ago, Emacs did not have a good JavaScript mode, so it made sense
   to use Java or C++ mode in .js files. However, Emacs has had js-mode for
   years now; it's perfectly serviceable, and is available and enabled by
   default in all major Emacs packagings.

   Selecting a mode in the -*- file variable line -*- is almost always the
   wrong thing to do anyway. It overrides Emacs's default choice, which is
   (now) reasonable; and even worse, it overrides settings the user might
   have made in their '.emacs' file for that file extension. It's only
   useful when there's something specific about that particular file that
   makes a particular mode appropriate.

 - Correctly propagate settings that establish the correct indentation
   level for this file: c-basic-offset and js2-basic-offset should be
   js-indent-level. Whatever value they're given should be preserved;
   different parts of our tree use different indentation styles.

 - We don't use tabs in Mozilla JS code. Always set indent-tabs-mode: nil.
   Remove tab-width: settings, at least in files that don't contain tab
   characters.

 - Remove js2-mode settings that belong in the user's .emacs file, like
   js2-skip-preprocessor-directives.
