c8872347c9 Bug 905926 - Be more explicit about GCing twice in the nsXPConnect destructor. r=billm 
In the current setup, we'll end up GCing once when destroying the SafeJSContext,
and then once again immediately after in the explicit GC we do before destroying
the XPCJSRuntime. It would be nice to avoid the first GC entirely, but we
currently need both to avoid leaking.

All in all, these patches cause us to GC three times during shutdown, rather
than twice as we did before, because the second GC was rolled together with
the runtime destruction GC when we destroyed the last JSContext. There are a
number of ways to eliminate these, at least in opt builds, but mccr8 thinks
it probably doesn't matter, since there shouldn't be much left in the heap after
the second GC.

We can probably get away with eliminating rambo GC entirely at some point. But
this might become irrelevant for the browser if we end up doing bug 662444.

It would also be interesting to see what, if anything, the rambo GC actually
collects. We might even be able to get away with asserting that all the zones
are gone and removing the GC entirely.

We also take the opportunity to kill mOwnSafeJSContext, which no longer holds
any meaning.

This interacts badly with our attempts to shut things down nicely, and happens
to be entirely unused. the primary impact of it ends up being that the cx
destruction triggers a GC, which we depend on. But we can do that manually.

544b219f25 Bug 899757: Make nsServerSocket::InitWithAddress provide more detailed error results. r=mayhemer, r=ted 
I looked through the NSPR socket creation functions that InitWithAddress
uses to see which errors they could return, and placed appropriate comments
in ErrorAccordingToNSPR.

The test coverage is not great; in particular, I wasn't able to find a way
to elicit "address in use" errors from Windows (although I could from
Linux); the web says that Windows is much more relaxed about binding
listening sockets than Unix derivatives. I'm interested in suggestions.

3e52bff456 Bug 899757: Distinguish PR_ADDRESS_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERROR from other network failures. r=mayhemer 
I broke out this this change on its own, because it seemed to require some care:
PR_ADDRESS_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERROR used to be lumped in with several other NSPR
error codes and reported as NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED; and a dumb grep shows
that the NS_ERROR_ is widely checked for. Introducing the distinction might
require the new NS_ERROR_SOCKET_ADDRESS_NOT_SUPPORTED value to be checked for
everywhere that currently checks for NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.

But that seems unlikely to be necessary: first of all, it shouldn't really
be possible, via the XPCOM interface, to force this error path to occur at
present: the components' implementations are in complete control over which
socket address types get used. I also did a Try push with a call to
NS_ABORT if a PR_ADDRESS_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERROR ever flows through
ErrorAccordingToNSPR; there were no crashes.

But if that's so, then why introduce the new error code at all? A later
patch adds support for Unix-domain sockets, a type of socket address which
is *not* supported on non-Unix systems. In that case, a distinct error code
will help people diagnose problems quickly.

We don't cycle collect any other kind, so there's no difference between marking
them gray and letting the JS engine mark them black. This also gets rid of that
nasty code which reset the flag, which billm theorizes has to do with faulty
logic in ContextHolder when creating ephemeral sandbox cxes. The assertion in
this patch should catch us if anything goes wrong.

The only change in behavior here is that we give the osx check higher precedence
than the DEBUG check, meaning that we end up with 7MB stacks on osx debug rather
than 4MB stacks. But this seems strictly better given the logic involved here.

These tests trigger very slow infinite recursion in the status quo. With the
existing stack quotas, they always (or usually) hit the native stack limit
before the test times out, causing them to be green on tinderbox. But when
we bump the debug mac stack limit, they end up timing out. We have bugs on
file for the various issues, but let's not let them block this landing.

b9441e23f7 Bug 899367 - Only use JSOPTION_UNROOTED_GLOBAL for DOM JSContexts. r=mccr8 
We don't cycle collect any other kind, so there's no difference between marking
them gray and letting the JS engine mark them black. This also gets rid of that
nasty code which reset the flag, which billm theorizes has to do with faulty
logic in ContextHolder when creating ephemeral sandbox cxes. The assertion in
this patch should catch us if anything goes wrong.

12c731ac0e Bug 907508 - Drop the number of slots on XPConnect globals from 2 to 1. r=bz 
In the old world, XPConnect globals had one reserved slot, which was used to
store a private pointer to the XPCWrappedNativeScope.

Then, in the new DOM bindings landing (bug 740069), we added two slots, one
for DOM_GLOBAL_OBJECT_SLOT, and one for DOM_PROTOTYPE_SLOT.

Then, in bug 761707, we removed DOM_GLOBAL_OBJECT_SLOT, but the slot count
remained at 3.

Then, in bug 797821, we stopped storing the XPCWrappedNativeScope in the slot
on the global, and dropped the XPConnect global count from 3 to 2.

Given the above, we can safely drop it to 1, here. It's easy to check that
this is correct, because reserved slots for globals have a different offset,
which is JSCLASS_GLOBAL_SLOT_COUNT. And according to mxr, the only thing
defined in terms of that is DOM_PROTOTYPE_SLOT (which takes the same value).
This means that all subsequent slots on the global are unused.

f2f063a8e3 Bug 893222 - Part 2: Fix escaping for huge strings displayed in about:memory. r=njn 
We were escaping "/" to "\/", but about:memory expects us to escape "/" to "\".

Escaping "/" to "\/" is probably quite sensible, since then we can represent strings which have both "\" and "/".  But that's a bigger change.
