Commit 41a9ada3e6 ("of/fdt: mark hotpluggable memory") introduced
two (for systems with and without memblock) weak versions of
early_init_dt_mark_hotplug_memory_arch(), that could be overridden by an
architecture-specific version. However, no overrides ever emerged.
Later, commit aca52c3983 ("mm: remove CONFIG_HAVE_MEMBLOCK")
removed the non-memblock version.
Remove early_init_dt_mark_hotplug_memory_arch(), and replace it by a
direct call to memblock_mark_hotplug().

Some functions in here are never called, and others are only called
during __init. Remove the dead code and some dead exports for functions
that don't exist (I'm looking at you of_fdt_get_string!). Mark some
functions with __init so we can throw them away after we boot up and
poke at the FDT blob too.

When building the kernel with W=1 we get a lot of -Wmissing-prototypes
warnings, which are trivial in nature and easy to fix - and which may
mask some real future bugs if the prototypes get out of sync with
the function definition.
This patch fixes most of -Wmissing-prototypes warnings which
are in the root directory of arch/x86/kernel, not including
the subdirectories.
These are the warnings fixed in this patch:

memblock_virt_alloc() works for both memblock and bootmem, so use it and
make early_init_dt_alloc_memory_arch a static function. The arches using
bootmem define early_init_dt_alloc_memory_arch as either:
__alloc_bootmem(size, align, __pa(MAX_DMA_ADDRESS))
or:
alloc_bootmem_align(size, align)
Both of these evaluate to the same thing as does memblock_virt_alloc for
bootmem. So we can disable the arch specific functions by making
early_init_dt_alloc_memory_arch static and they can be removed in
subsequent commits.

If OF_FLATTREE=y, but OF_EARLY_FLATTREE=n:
drivers/tty/serial/earlycon.o: In function `param_setup_earlycon':
earlycon.c:(.init.text+0x3a4): undefined reference to `early_init_dt_scan_chosen_stdout'
Fix this by moving the early flattree forward declarations and dummy
implementations inside an #ifdef CONFIG_OF_EARLY_FLATTREE block.

Introduce primitives for FDT parsing. These will be used for powerpc
cpufeatures node scanning, which has quite complex structure but should

This adds one more argument to of_fdt_unflatten_tree() to specify
the parent node of the FDT blob that is going to be unflattened.
In the result, the function can be used to unflatten FDT blob that
represents device sub-tree in PowerNV PCI hotplug driver.

Cleanup the early DT/earlycon separation; remove the 'addr' parameter
from of_setup_earlycon() and get the uart phys addr directly with a
new wrapper function, of_flat_dt_translate_addr(). Limit
fdt_translate_address() to file scope.

This splits off the reservation of the memory occupied by the FDT
binary itself from the processing of the memory reservations it
contains. This is necessary because the physical address of the FDT,
which is needed to perform the reservation, may not be known to the
FDT driver core, i.e., it may be mapped outside the linear direct
mapping, in which case __pa() returns a bogus value.
