Ayush RanjanandgVisor bot a81ec225dc Remove unnecessary calls to rand.Seed(time.Now().Unix()).
As per https://pkg.go.dev/math/rand#Seed:
"If Seed is not called, the generator is seeded randomly at program startup."
"Prior to Go 1.20, the generator was seeded like Seed(1) at program startup. To
force the old behavior, call Seed(1) at program startup."
"As of Go 1.20 there is no reason to call Seed with a random value."

rand.Seed() is deprecated. Followup to #11015.

Etienne PerotandgVisor bot d59375d82e Break //pkg/tcpip/link/rawfile's dep on //pkg/tcpip & move it to //pkg.
`//pkg/tcpip/link/rawfile` is a package to deal with raw socket and file FDs.
It is not only used for Netstack, but rather just generally useful raw file
manipulation stuff.

This change removes the Unix-error-to-`//pkg/tcpip`-error translation step
from its functions; this is now the responsibility of its callers. Callers
within Netstack now do the translation by themselves; the translation
function is moved to `//pkg/tcpip`.

This allows the `//pkg/tcpip/link/rawfile` package to not depend on
`//pkg/tcpip`, which in turn means the `//pkg/eventfd` package
(which depends on `rawfile`) no longer transitively depends on
`//pkg/tcpip`, which in turns means the `//pkg/unet` package (which
depends on `//pkg/eventfd`) no longer transitively depends on
`//pkg/tcpip`, which in turns means that the `//pkg/eventchannel`
package (which depends on `//pkg/unet`) no longer transitively
depends on `//pkg/tcpip`, which in turns means that the `//pkg/metric`
package (which depends on `//pkg/eventchannel`) no longer transitively
depends on `//pkg/tcpip`, which finally means that the `//pkg/metric`
package can be used within `//pkg/tcpip`. \o/

This changes does not make it use it, it just moves `rawfile`.

Ghanan GowripalanandgVisor bot a055645a79 Don't hold link address in tcpip.Address
All tcpip.Endpoints use a tcpip.FullAddress to hold addresses associated
with an outgoing or incoming packet, but the struct only had a field for
a tcpip.Address. This field was overloaded to also hold a link address
(which is normally held in a tcpip.LinkAddress). This worked relatively
fine until the change to make addresses opaque types.

commit 64268c8483 required the use of a
workaround to continue passing around link addresses through the
tcpip.Address field. This workaround requires assumptions about the
size of the hardware address and unncessary jumping-through-hoops.

This change just introduces a new field to tcpip.FullAddress with type
tcpip.LinkAddress that can hold link addresses and this new field will
be used by packet endpoints.

Kevin KrakauerandgVisor bot 64268c8483 netstack: make tcpip.Address an opaque type
The important change here is in tcpip/tcpip.go, where tcpip.Address is defined.
The rest is updating uses of tcpip.Address.

This is preparation for netip.Addr or []byte based addresses, which should save
us a bunch of allocations. Currently, we allocate every time we want to, say,
get a tcpip.Address from a header. This is because the header is a byte slice,
but Address is a string. Strings are immutable, so Go allocates and copies.

Adin ScannellandgVisor bot 91f58d2cc8 Update Waitable API.
Instead of passing the event mask at registratrion time, pass the mask as part
of the waiter. This makes the mask immutable and simplifies the architecture of
waiters. This is also necessary for a future fix that will allow the fdnotifier
to keep persistent entries, as opposed to requiring constant updates.

This change is intended to be a no-op in terms of function. The only exception
is signalfd, where this mask was abused. To handle this case, the operation of
signalfd changed to allow one layer of indirection.

Replaced the current AddAddressWithOptions method with
AddAddressWithProperties which passes all address properties in
a single AddressProperties type. More properties that need to be
configured in the future are expected, so adding a type makes adding
them easier.

Bhasker HariharanandgVisor bot e7ca2a51a8 Add POLLRDNORM/POLLWRNORM support.
On Linux these are meant to be equivalent to POLLIN/POLLOUT. Rather
than hack these on in sys_poll etc it felt cleaner to just cleanup
the call sites to notify for both events. This is what linux does
as well.

Ghanan GowripalanandgVisor bot 25b5ec7135 Do not resolve remote link address at transport layer
Link address resolution is performed at the link layer (if required) so
we can defer it from the transport layer. When link resolution is
required, packets will be queued and sent once link resolution
completes. If link resolution fails, the transport layer will receive a
control message indicating that the stack failed to route the packet.

tcpip.Endpoint.Write no longer returns a channel now that writes do not
wait for link resolution at the transport layer.

tcpip.ErrNoLinkAddress is no longer used so it is removed.

Removed calls to stack.Route.ResolveWith from the transport layer so
that link resolution is performed when a route is created in response
to an incoming packet (e.g. to complete TCP handshakes or send a RST).

Tests:
- integration_test.TestForwarding
- integration_test.TestTCPLinkResolutionFailure

Ting-Yu WangandgVisor bot b1de1da318 netstack: Refactor tcpip.Endpoint.Read
Read now takes a destination io.Writer, count, options. Keeping the method name
Read, in contrast to the Write method.

This enables:
* direct transfer of views under VV
* zero copy

It also eliminates the need for sentry to keep a slice of view because
userspace had requested a read that is smaller than the view returned, removing
the complexity there.

Read/Peek/ReadPacket are now consolidated together and some duplicate code is
removed.

Ghanan GowripalanandgVisor bot cc5cfce4c6 Remove ARP address workaround
- Make AddressableEndpoint optional for NetworkEndpoint.
Not all NetworkEndpoints need to support addressing (e.g. ARP), so
AddressableEndpoint should only be implemented for protocols that
support addressing such as IPv4 and IPv6.

With this change, tcpip.ErrNotSupported will be returned by the stack
when attempting to modify addresses on a network endpoint that does
not support addressing.

Now that packets are fully handled at the network layer, and (with this
change) addresses are optional for network endpoints, we no longer need
the workaround for ARP where a fake ARP address was added to each NIC
that performs ARP so that packets would be delivered to the ARP layer.

Ghanan GowripalanandgVisor bot a5acc0616c Support creating protocol instances with Stack ref
Network or transport protocols may want to reach the stack. Support this
by letting the stack create the protocol instances so it can pass a
reference to itself at protocol creation time.

Note, protocols do not yet use the stack in this CL but later CLs will
make use of the stack from protocols.

Bhasker HariharanandgVisor bot b69352245a Fix Accept to not return error for sockets in accept queue.
Accept on gVisor will return an error if a socket in the accept queue was closed
before Accept() was called. Linux will return the new fd even if the returned
socket is already closed by the peer say due to a RST being sent by the peer.

This seems to be intentional in linux more details on the github issue.

Ghanan GowripalanandgVisor bot dc81eb9c37 Add function to get error from a tcpip.Endpoint
In an upcoming CL, socket option types are made to implement a marker
interface with pointer receivers. Since this results in calling methods
of an interface with a pointer, we incur an allocation when attempting
to get an Endpoint's last error with the current implementation.

When calling the method of an interface, the compiler is unable to
determine what the interface implementation does with the pointer
(since calling a method on an interface uses virtual dispatch at runtime
so the compiler does not know what the interface method will do) so it
allocates on the heap to be safe incase an implementation continues to
hold the pointer after the functioon returns (the reference escapes the
scope of the object).

In the example below, the compiler does not know what b.foo does with
the reference to a it allocates a on the heap as the reference to a may
escape the scope of a.
```
var a int
var b someInterface
b.foo(&a)
```

This change removes the opportunity for that allocation.

several tcpip link packages.

To find packages, I looked at a diff of directories on master vs go:
