($(build_lib)): ... here. Simplify. Extract code handling
LIBRARY_USE_INTERMEDIATE_FILE into ...
($(the_lib)) [LIBRARY_USE_INTERMEDIATE_FILE]: ... here, a new rule
that takes care of copying the library from its temporary location
to the final location.
