While the GCC and Clang compilers already define __ASSEMBLER__
automatically when compiling assembly code, __ASSEMBLY__ is a
macro that only gets defined by the Makefiles in the kernel.
This can be very confusing when switching between userspace
and kernelspace coding, or when dealing with uapi headers that
rather should use __ASSEMBLER__ instead. So let's standardize now
on the __ASSEMBLER__ macro that is provided by the compilers.
This is a completely mechanical patch (done with a simple "sed -i"
statement).

In current linux.git, gnttab_suspend() and gnttab_resume() are defined
and declared unconditionally. However, their only in-tree callers reside
in drivers/xen/manage.c, which are guarded by CONFIG_HIBERNATE_CALLBACKS.
Match the helper scope to their callers by wrapping the definitions in
CONFIG_HIBERNATE_CALLBACKS and providing no-op stubs in the header. This
fixes the config-scope mismatch and reduces the code footprint when
hibernation callbacks are disabled.

When the console out buffer is filled, __write_console() will return 0
as it cannot send any data. domU_write_console() will then spin in
`while (len)` as len doesn't decrement until xenconsoled attaches. This
would block a domU and nullify the parallelism of Hyperlaunch until dom0
userspace starts xenconsoled, which empties the buffer.
Xen 4.21 added a connection field to the xen console page. This is set
to XENCONSOLE_DISCONNECTED (1) when a domain is built, and xenconsoled
will set it to XENCONSOLE_CONNECTED (0) when it connects.
Update the hvc_xen driver to check the field. When the field is
disconnected, drop the write with -ENOTCONN. We only drop the write
when the field is XENCONSOLE_DISCONNECTED (1) to try for maximum
compatibility. The Xen toolstack has historically zero initialized the
console, so it should see XENCONSOLE_CONNECTED (0) by default. If an
implemenation used uninitialized memory, only checking for
XENCONSOLE_DISCONNECTED could have the lowest chance of not connecting.
This lets the hyperlaunched domU boot without stalling. Once dom0
starts xenconsoled, xl console can be used to access the domU's hvc0.
Paritally sync console.h from xen.git to bring in the new field.

When the backend domain crashes, coordinated device cleanup is not
possible (as it involves waiting for the backend state change). In that
case, toolstack forcefully removes frontend xenstore entries.
xenbus_dev_changed() handles this case, and triggers device cleanup.
It's possible that toolstack manages to connect new device in that
place, before xenbus_dev_changed() notices the old one is missing. If
that happens, new one won't be probed and will forever remain in
XenbusStateInitialising.
Fix this by checking the frontend's state in Xenstore. In case it has
been reset to XenbusStateInitialising by Xen tools, consider this
being the result of an unplug+plug operation.
It's important that cleanup on such unplug doesn't modify Xenstore
entries (especially the "state" key) as it belong to the new device
to be probed - changing it would derail establishing connection to the
new backend (most likely, closing the device before it was even
connected). Handle this case by setting new xenbus_device->vanished
flag to true, and check it before changing state entry.
And even if xenbus_dev_changed() correctly detects the device was
forcefully removed, the cleanup handling is still racy. Since this whole
handling doesn't happened in a single Xenstore transaction, it's possible
that toolstack might put a new device there already. Avoid re-creating
the state key (which in the case of loosing the race would actually
close newly attached device).
The problem does not apply to frontend domain crash, as this case
involves coordinated cleanup.

This partially reverts commit 87af633689 so
the current memory target for PV guests is still fetched from
start_info->nr_pages, which matches exactly what the toolstack sets the
initial memory target to.
Using get_num_physpages() is possible on PV also, but needs adjusting to
take into account the ISA hole and the PFN at 0 not considered usable
memory despite being populated, and hence would need extra adjustments.
Instead of carrying those extra adjustments switch back to the previous
code. That leaves Linux with a difference in how current memory target is
obtained for HVM vs PV, but that's better than adding extra logic just for
PV.
However if switching to start_info->nr_pages for PV domains we need to
differentiate between released pages (freed back to the hypervisor) as
opposed to pages in the physmap which are not populated to start with.
Introduce a new xen_unpopulated_pages to account for papges that have
never been populated, and hence in the PV case don't need subtracting.

On PVH dom0, when passthrough a device to domU, QEMU and xl tools
want to use gsi number to do pirq mapping, see QEMU code
xen_pt_realize->xc_physdev_map_pirq, and xl code
pci_add_dm_done->xc_physdev_map_pirq, but in current codes, the gsi
number is got from file /sys/bus/pci/devices/<sbdf>/irq, that is
wrong, because irq is not equal with gsi, they are in different
spaces, so pirq mapping fails.
And in current linux codes, there is no method to get gsi
for userspace.
For above purpose, record gsi of pcistub devices when init
pcistub and add a new syscall into privcmd to let userspace
can get gsi when they have a need.

When device on dom0 side has been reset, the vpci on Xen side
won't get notification, so that the cached state in vpci is
all out of date with the real device state.
To solve that problem, add a new function to clear all vpci
device state when device is reset on dom0 side.
And call that function in pcistub_init_device. Because when
using "pci-assignable-add" to assign a passthrough device in
Xen, it will reset passthrough device and the vpci state will
out of date, and then device will fail to restore bar state.

"Here is the big set of driver core changes for 6.11-rc1.
Lots of stuff in here, with not a huge diffstat, but apis are evolving
which required lots of files to be touched. Highlights of the changes
in here are:
- platform remove callback api final fixups (Uwe took many releases
to get here, finally!)
- Rust bindings for basic firmware apis and initial driver-core
interactions.
It's not all that useful for a "write a whole driver in rust" type
of thing, but the firmware bindings do help out the phy rust
drivers, and the driver core bindings give a solid base on which
others can start their work.
There is still a long way to go here before we have a multitude of
rust drivers being added, but it's a great first step.
- driver core const api changes.
This reached across all bus types, and there are some fix-ups for
some not-common bus types that linux-next and 0-day testing shook
out.
This work is being done to help make the rust bindings more safe,
as well as the C code, moving toward the end-goal of allowing us to
put driver structures into read-only memory. We aren't there yet,
but are getting closer.
- minor devres cleanups and fixes found by code inspection
- arch_topology minor changes
- other minor driver core cleanups
All of these have been in linux-next for a very long time with no
reported problems"

In the match() callback, the struct device_driver * should not be
changed, so change the function callback to be a const *. This is one
step of many towards making the driver core safe to have struct
device_driver in read-only memory.
Because the match() callback is in all busses, all busses are modified
to handle this properly. This does entail switching some container_of()
calls to container_of_const() to properly handle the constant *.
For some busses, like PCI and USB and HV, the const * is cast away in
the match callback as those busses do want to modify those structures at
this point in time (they have a local lock in the driver structure.)
That will have to be changed in the future if they wish to have their
struct device * in read-only-memory.
