Ranjani SridharanandMark Brown 15a55ec2f8 ASoC: SOF: ipc4-topology: Add new tokens for pipeline direction
Parse the pipeline direction from topology. The direction_valid token is
required for backward-compatibility with older topologies that may not
have the direction set for pipelines. This will be used when
setting up pipelines to check if a pipeline is in the same direction as
the requested params and skip those in the opposite direction like in
the case of echo reference capture pipelines during playback.

Cezary RojewskiandMark Brown d5c8b7902a ASoC: Intel: avs: Honor NHLT override when setting up a path
In case topology provides NHLT configuration, use it instead of relying
on the table in ACPI tree. Only gateway-related modules e.g.: Copier
care about the process. For those the order of fetching for hardware
configuration becomes:

1) check if NHLT override is set,
2) check if NHLT descriptor override is set,
3) use NHLT from ACPI directly

Such approach ensures no conflicts exist between 1) and 2) and that 1)
always takes precedence.

Cezary RojewskiandMark Brown dd9896d41f ASoC: Intel: avs: Allow the topology to carry NHLT data
Typically the hardware configuration for I2S and DMIC devices resides
in the Non-HDAudio Link Table (NHLT) that is part of the ACPI tree. As
the NHLTs existing in the field are not always perfect, workaround
mechanisms are provided to patch them.

Currently the avs-driver is utilizing the ->blob_fmt override (see
topology.h and struct avs_tplg_modcfg_ext) when there is a valid entry
within a NHLT to configure the hardware for specific format but its
descriptor (header) is invalid.

A separate case is when there is no correct hardware configuration at
all within the NHLT available in the system. Patching the header won't
help and forcing ad-hoc BIOS updates for dated system is not feasible.
Allowing the topology to carry the data is the solution of choice as
replacing a userspace file that is part of /lib/firmware/intel/ is less
invasive than BIOS update and solves the problem.

The inline struct 'snd_dec_opus_ch_map' inside 'snd_dec_opus' was not
properly documented. This patch documents the 'chan_map' member and its
fields (stream_count, coupled_count, channel_map), resolving the warning.

Joris VerhaegenandTakashi Iwai 86eec88c5b ALSA: compress_offload: Add SNDRV_COMPRESS_AVAIL64 ioctl
The previous patch introduced a 64-bit timestamp ioctl
(SNDRV_COMPRESS_TSTAMP64). To provide a consistent API, this patch
adds a corresponding 64-bit version of the SNDRV_COMPRESS_AVAIL ioctl.

A new struct snd_compr_avail64 is added to the UAPI, which includes
the 64-bit timestamp. The existing ioctl implementation is refactored
to handle both the 32-bit and 64-bit variants.

Joris VerhaegenandTakashi Iwai f20a53974f ALSA: compress_offload: Add SNDRV_COMPRESS_TSTAMP64 ioctl
The previous patch introduced the internal infrastructure for handling
64-bit timestamps. This patch exposes this capability to user-space.

Define the new ioctl command SNDRV_COMPRESS_TSTAMP64, which allows
applications to fetch the overflow-safe struct snd_compr_tstamp64.

The ioctl dispatch table is updated to handle the new command by
calling a new snd_compr_tstamp64 handler, while the legacy path is
renamed to snd_compr_tstamp32 for clarity.

This patch bumps the SNDRV_COMPRESS_VERSION to 0.4.0.

Joris VerhaegenandTakashi Iwai 2c92e2fbe9 ALSA: compress_offload: Add 64-bit safe timestamp infrastructure
The copied_total field in struct snd_compr_tstamp is a 32-bit
value that can overflow on long-running high-bitrate streams,
leading to incorrect calculations for buffer availablility.

This patch adds a 64-bit safe timestamping mechanism.
A new UAPI struct, snd_compr_tstamp64, is added which uses 64-bit
types for byte counters. The relevant ops structures across the
ASoC and core compress code are updated to use this new struct.
ASoC drivers are updated to use u64 counters.

Internal timestamps being u64 now, a compatibility function is added
to convert the 64-bit timestamp back to the 32-bit format for legacy
ioctl callers.

Jyri SarhaandMark Brown 3d439e1ec3 ASoC: sof: ipc4-topology: Add support to sched_domain attribute
Add SOF_TKN_COMP_SCHED_DOMAIN and connect it to struct snd_sof_widget
comp_domain member, with new get_token_comp_domain() function.

The logic is such that if the topology attribute is not present in the
widget node the corresponding IPC4 extension value is taken from the
module's manifest like before. But if the attribute is found and
recognized its value overrides what is there in the manifest.

 - cleans up some of the audioreach tokens which are unused
 - adds missing documentation
 - add support for static calibration support which is required for ECNS
   an speaker protection support.

Tested this with Single Mic ECNS on SM8450 platform.

This change adds support for static calibration data via ASoC topology
file. This static calibration data could include binary blob of data
that is required by specific module and is not part of topology tokens.

Reason for adding this support is to allow loading module specific data
that can not be part of the tplg tokens, example, Echo and Noise cancelling
module needs a blob of calibration data to function correctly.

This support is also one of the building block for adding speaker
protection support.

Tested this with Single Mic ECNS(Echo and Noise Cancellation).

tplg can now contain this calibration data like:

Geoffrey D. BennettandTakashi Iwai 46757a3e7d ALSA: FCP: Add Focusrite Control Protocol driver
Add a new kernel driver for the Focusrite Control Protocol (FCP),
which is used by Focusrite Scarlett 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, Clarett
USB, Clarett+, and Vocaster series audio interfaces. This driver
provides a user-space control interface via ALSA's hwdep subsystem.

Unlike the existing Scarlett2 driver which implements all ALSA
controls in kernel space, this new FCP driver takes a different
approach by providing a minimal kernel interface that allows a
user-space driver to send FCP commands and receive notifications. The
only control implemented in kernel space is the Level Meter, since it
requires frequent polling of volatile data.

While this driver supports all interfaces that the Scarlett2 driver
works with, it is initially enabled only for 4th Gen 16i16, 18i16,
and 18i20 interfaces that are not supported by the Scarlett2 driver.

Takashi Iwai 3846699217 ALSA: rawmidi: Make tied_device=0 as default / unknown
In the original change, rawmidi_info.tied_device showed -1 for the
unknown or untied device.  But this would require the user-space to
check the protocol version and judge the value conditionally, which
is rather error-prone.

Instead, set the tied_device = 0 to be default as unknown, and
indicate the real device with the offset 1, for achieving more
backward compatibility.

Takashi Iwai 3ab4a3199c ALSA: seq: Notify UMP EP and FB changes
So far we notify the sequencer client and port changes upon UMP FB
changes, but those aren't really corresponding to the UMP updates.
e.g. when a FB info gets updated, it's not notified but done only when
some of sequencer port attribute is changed.  This is no ideal
behavior.

This patch adds the two new sequencer event types for notifying the
UMP EP and FB changes via the announce port.  The new event takes
snd_seq_ev_ump_notify type data, which is compatible with
snd_seq_addr (where the port number is replaced with the block
number).

The events are sent when the EP and FB info gets updated explicitly
via ioctl, or the backend UMP receives the corresponding UMP
messages.

The sequencer protocol version is bumped to 1.0.5 along with it.
