Grzegorz NitkaandJakub Kicinski 9375487c0c dpll: add generic DPLL type
Add DPLL_TYPE_GENERIC to represent DPLL devices which do not fit the
existing PPS or EEC classes.

The UAPI type is intentionally generic. During netdev discussion,
maintainers pointed out that introducing identifiers tied to a specific
placement or single design does not scale across ASICs and vendors.
The role of a DPLL is already inferable from the spawning driver,
bus device, and pin topology, without encoding additional
purpose-specific taxonomy in the type name.

Using a generic type keeps the UAPI extensible and avoids premature
naming that may become incorrect as new hardware topologies are
exposed through the DPLL subsystem.

Expose the new type through UAPI and netlink specification as "generic".

Ivan VeceraandPaolo Abeni 781c8893a5 dpll: add pin operational state
Add pin-operstate enum and operstate_on_dpll_get callback to report
the actual hardware status of a pin with respect to its parent DPLL
device. Unlike pin-state (which reflects administrative intent set
by the user), operstate reflects what the hardware is actually doing.

Defined operational states:
  - active: pin is qualified and actively used by the DPLL
  - standby: pin is qualified but not actively used by the DPLL
  - no-signal: pin does not have a valid signal
  - qual-failed: pin signal failed qualification

The operstate is reported inside the pin-parent-device nested
attribute alongside the existing state and phase-offset attributes.

Ivan VeceraandJakub Kicinski 3fdea79c09 dpll: add frequency monitoring to netlink spec
Add DPLL_A_FREQUENCY_MONITOR device attribute to allow control over
the frequency monitor feature. The attribute uses the existing
dpll_feature_state enum (enable/disable) and is present in both
device-get reply and device-set request.

Add DPLL_A_PIN_MEASURED_FREQUENCY pin attribute to expose the measured
input frequency in millihertz (mHz). The attribute is present in the
pin-get reply. Add DPLL_PIN_MEASURED_FREQUENCY_DIVIDER constant to
allow userspace to extract integer and fractional parts.

Ivan VeceraandJakub Kicinski bc443c253f dpll: expose fractional frequency offset in ppt
Currently, the dpll subsystem exports the fractional frequency offset
(FFO) in parts per million (ppm). This granularity is insufficient for
high-precision synchronization scenarios which often require parts per
trillion (ppt) resolution.

Add a new netlink attribute DPLL_A_PIN_FRACTIONAL_FREQUENCY_OFFSET_PPT
to expose the FFO in ppt.

Update the dpll netlink core to expect the driver-provided FFO value
to be in ppt. To maintain backward compatibility with existing userspace
tools, populate the legacy DPLL_A_PIN_FRACTIONAL_FREQUENCY_OFFSET
attribute by dividing the new ppt value by 1,000,000.

Update the zl3073x and mlx5 drivers to provide the FFO value in ppt:
- zl3073x: adjust the fixed-point calculation to produce ppt (10^12)
  instead of ppm (10^6).
- mlx5: scale the existing ppm value by 1,000,000.

Ivan VeceraandJakub Kicinski 30176bf7c8 dpll: add phase-adjust-gran pin attribute
Phase-adjust values are currently limited by a min-max range. Some
hardware requires, for certain pin types, that values be multiples of
a specific granularity, as in the zl3073x driver.

Add a `phase-adjust-gran` pin attribute and an appropriate field in
dpll_pin_properties. If set by the driver, use its value to validate
user-provided phase-adjust values.

Sometimes the names of the enum entries are self-explanatory

complain about undocumented entries.

Detect enums which only have documentation for the entire
type and no documentation for entries. Render their doc
as a plain comment.
