DRM Rust changes for v7.2-rc1

- Driver Core (shared via signed tag dd-lifetimes-7.2-rc1):

  - Introduce Higher-Ranked Lifetime Types (HRT) for Rust device
drivers, allowing driver structs to hold device resources like
pci::Bar and IoMem directly with a lifetime tied to the binding
scope, removing the need for Devres indirection and ARef<Device>.

  - Replace drvdata() with scoped registration data on the auxiliary
bus, using the new ForLt trait to thread lifetimes through
    registrations. Remove drvdata() and driver_type.

- DRM:

  - Add GPUVM immediate mode abstraction for Rust GPU drivers:
    - In immediate mode, GPU virtual address space state is updated
during job execution (in the DMA fence signalling critical path),
keeping the GPUVM and the GPU's address space always in sync.

    - Provide GpuVm, GpuVa, and GpuVmBo types for managing address
spaces, virtual mappings, and GEM object backing respectively.

    - Provide split-merge map/unmap operations that handle partial
      overlaps with existing mappings.

    - drm_exec integration for dma_resv locking and GEM object
validation based on the external/evicted object lists are not
yet covered and planned as follow-up work.

  - Introduce DeviceContext type state for drm::Device, allowing
drivers to restrict operations to contexts where the device is
guaranteed to be registered (or not yet registered) with userspace.

  - Add FEAT_RENDER flag to the Driver trait for render node support.

- Nova:

  - Hopper/Blackwell enablement:
    - Add GPU identification and architecture-based HAL selection for
      Hopper (GH100) and Blackwell (GB100, GB202).

    - Implement the FSP (Foundation Security Processor) boot path used by
Hopper and Blackwell, including FSP falcon engine support, EMEM
operations, MCTP/NVDM message infrastructure, and FSP Chain of
Trust boot with GSP lockdown release.

    - Add support for 32-bit firmware images and auto-detection of
      firmware image format.

    - Add architecture-specific framebuffer, sysmem flush, PCI config
mirror, DMA mask, and WPR/non-WPR heap sizing.

  - GSP boot and unload:
    - Refactor the GSP boot process into a chipset-specific HAL,
keeping the SEC2 and FSP boot paths separated cleanly.

    - Implement proper driver unload: send UNLOADING_GUEST_DRIVER
command, run Booter Unloader and FWSEC-SB upon unbinding, and run
the unload bundle on Gsp::boot() failure. This removes the need
for a manual GPU reset between driver unbind and re-probe.

  - GA100 support:
    - Add support for the GA100 GPU, including IFR header detection and
skipping, correct fwsignature selection, conditional FRTS boot,
and documentation of the IFR header layout.

  - VBIOS hardening and refactoring:
    - Harden VBIOS parsing with checked arithmetic, bounds-checked
accesses, and FromBytes-based structure reads throughout the FWSEC
and Falcon data paths. Simplify the overall VBIOS module
      structure.

  - HRT adoption:
    - Use lifetime-parameterized pci::Bar directly, replacing the
      Arc<Devres<Bar0>> indirection. Replace ARef<Device> with &'bound
Device in SysmemFlush and the GSP sequencer. Separate the driver
      type from driver data.

  - Misc:
    - Rename module names to kebab-case (nova-drm, nova-core).

    - Require little-endian in Kconfig, making the existing assumption
      explicit.

- Tyr:

  - Define comprehensive typed register blocks for GPU_CONTROL,
    JOB_CONTROL, MMU_CONTROL (including per-address-space registers),
and DOORBELL_BLOCK using the kernel register!() macro. This replaces
manual bit manipulation with typed register and field accessors.

  - Add shmem-backed GEM objects and set DMA mask based on GPU physical
    address width.

  - Adopt HRT: separate driver type from driver data, and use IoMem
directly instead of Devres for register access during probe.

  - Move clock cleanup into a Drop implementation.

Alice RyhlandDanilo Krummrich c2d72717e0 drm/gpuvm: take refcount on DRM device
Currently GPUVM relies on the owner implicitly holding a refcount to the
drm device, and it does not implicitly take a refcount on the drm
device. This design is error-prone, so take a refcount on the device.

Jonathan Cavitt 88f059f6f6 drm/gpuvm: Do not prepare NULL objects
Statis analysis issue:

drm_gpuvm_prepare_range issues an exec_object_prepare call to all
drm_gem_objects mapped between addr and addr + range. However, it is
possible (albeit very unlikely) that the objects found through
drm_gpuvm_for_each_va_range (as connected to va->gem) are NULL, as seen
in other functions such as drm_gpuva_link and drm_gpuva_unlink_defer.

Do not prepare NULL objects.

Linus Torvalds bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

Kees Cook 69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Alice RyhlandDanilo Krummrich 9bf4ca1e69 drm/gpuvm: drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain() requires lock and staged mode
In commit 9ce4aef9a5 ("drm/gpuvm: take GEM lock inside
drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain_prealloc()") we update
drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain_prealloc() to take locks internally, which means
that it's only usable in immediate mode.

In this commit, we notice that drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain() requires you to use
staged mode. This means that we now have one variant of obtain for each
mode you might use gpuvm in.

To reflect this information, we add a warning about using it in
immediate mode, and to make the distinction clearer we rename the method
with a _locked() suffix so that it's clear that it requires the caller
to take the locks.

Alice RyhlandDanilo Krummrich 9ce4aef9a5 drm/gpuvm: take GEM lock inside drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain_prealloc()
When calling drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain_prealloc() and using immediate mode,
this may result in a call to ops->vm_bo_free(vm_bo) while holding the
GEMs gpuva mutex. This is a problem if ops->vm_bo_free(vm_bo) performs
any operations that are not safe in the fence signalling critical path,
and it turns out that Panthor (the only current user of the method)
calls drm_gem_shmem_unpin() which takes a resv lock internally.

This constitutes both a violation of signalling safety and lock
inversion. To fix this, we modify the method to internally take the GEMs
gpuva mutex so that the mutex can be unlocked before freeing the
preallocated vm_bo.

Note that this modification introduces a requirement that the driver
uses immediate mode to call drm_gpuvm_bo_obtain_prealloc() as it would
otherwise take the wrong lock.

Alice Ryhl 8e4865faf7 drm/gpuvm: add deferred vm_bo cleanup
When using GPUVM in immediate mode, it is necessary to call
drm_gpuvm_unlink() from the fence signalling critical path. However,
unlink may call drm_gpuvm_bo_put(), which causes some challenges:

1. drm_gpuvm_bo_put() often requires you to take resv locks, which you
can't do from the fence signalling critical path.
2. drm_gpuvm_bo_put() calls drm_gem_object_put(), which is often going
to be unsafe to call from the fence signalling critical path.

To solve these issues, add a deferred version of drm_gpuvm_unlink() that
adds the vm_bo to a deferred cleanup list, and then clean it up later.

The new methods take the GEMs GPUVA lock internally rather than letting
the caller do it because it also needs to perform an operation after
releasing the mutex again. This is to prevent freeing the GEM while
holding the mutex (more info as comments in the patch). This means that
the new methods can only be used with DRM_GPUVM_IMMEDIATE_MODE.

Bagas SanjayaandDanilo Krummrich 07c24945ca Revert "drm: Add directive to format code in comment"
Commit 6cc44e9618 ("drm: Add directive to format code in comment")
fixes original Sphinx indentation warning as introduced in
471920ce25 ("drm/gpuvm: Add locking helpers"), by means of using
code-block:: directive. It semantically conflicts with earlier
bb324f85f7 ("drm/gpuvm: Wrap drm_gpuvm_sm_map_exec_lock() expected
usage in literal code block") that did the same using double colon
syntax instead. These duplicated literal code block directives causes
the original warnings not being fixed.

Revert 6cc44e9618 to keep things rolling without these warnings.

Alice RyhlandDanilo Krummrich 3c8d31b893 gpuvm: remove gem.gpuva.lock_dep_map
Since all users of gem.gpuva.lock_dep_map now rely on the mutex directly
in gpuva, we may remove it. Whether the mutex is used is now tracked by
a flag in gpuvm rather than by whether lock_dep_map is null.

Note that a GEM object may not be pushed to multiple gpuvms that
disagree on the value of this new flag. But that's okay because a single
driver should use the same locking scheme everywhere, and a GEM object
is driver specific (when a GEM is exported with prime, a new GEM object
instance is created from the backing dma-buf).

The flag is present even with CONFIG_LOCKDEP=n because the intent is
that the flag will also cause vm_bo cleanup to become deferred. However,
that will happen in a follow-up patch.

Himal Prasad GhimirayandMatthew Brost baf1638c09 drm/gpuvm: Introduce drm_gpuvm_madvise_ops_create
This ops is used to iterate over GPUVA's in the user-provided range
and split the existing sparse VMA's if the start or end of the input
range lies within it. The operations can create up to 2 REMAPS and 2 MAPs.

The primary use case is for drivers to assign attributes to GPU VAs in
the specified range without performing unmaps or merging mappings,
supporting fine-grained control over sparse va's.
