Anand MoonandAndrew Morton 97bd80a918 treewide: fix indentation and whitespace in Kconfig files
Clean up inconsistent indentation (mixing tabs and spaces) and remove
extraneous whitespace in several Kconfig files across the tree. This is a
purely cosmetic change to improve readability.

Adjust indentation from spaces to tab (+optional two spaces) as in
coding style with command like:

$ sed -e 's/^        /\t/' -i */Kconfig

Pull Clang build fix from Nathan Chancellor:

Nathan Chancellor 4f96b7c68a extract-cert: Wrap key_pass with '#ifdef USE_PKCS11_ENGINE'
A recent strengthening of -Wunused-but-set-variable (enabled with -Wall)
in clang under a new subwarning, -Wunused-but-set-global, points out an
unused static global variable in certs/extract-cert.c:

certs/extract-cert.c:46:20: error: variable 'key_pass' set but not used [-Werror,-Wunused-but-set-global]
     46 | static const char *key_pass;
        | ^

After commit 558bdc45df ("sign-file,extract-cert: use pkcs11 provider
for OPENSSL MAJOR >= 3"), key_pass is only used with the OpenSSL engine
API, not the new provider API. Wrap key_pass's declaration and
assignment with '#ifdef USE_PKCS11_ENGINE' so that it is only included
with its use to clear up the warning. While this is a little uglier than
just marking key_pass with the unused attribute, this will make it
easier to clean up all code associated with the use of the engine API if
it were ever removed in the future. While in the area, use a tab for
the key_pass assignment line to match the rest of the file.

Linus Torvalds bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

Kees Cook 69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

David Howells 0ad9a71933 modsign: Enable ML-DSA module signing
Allow ML-DSA module signing to be enabled.

Note that OpenSSL's CMS_*() function suite does not, as of OpenSSL-3.6,
support the use of CMS_NOATTR with ML-DSA, so the prohibition against using
signedAttrs with module signing has to be removed. The selected digest
then applies only to the algorithm used to calculate the digest stored in
the messageDigest attribute. The OpenSSL development branch has patches
applied that fix this[1], but it appears that that will only be available
in OpenSSL-4.

[1] https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/28923

sign-file won't set CMS_NOATTR if openssl is earlier than v4, resulting in
the use of signed attributes.

The ML-DSA algorithm takes the raw data to be signed without regard to what
digest algorithm is specified in the CMS message. The CMS specified digest
algorithm is ignored unless signedAttrs are used; in such a case, only
SHA512 is permitted.

Randy DunlapandAndrew Morton 24c776355f kernel.h: drop hex.h and update all hex.h users
Remove <linux/hex.h> from <linux/kernel.h> and update all users/callers of
hex.h interfaces to directly #include <linux/hex.h> as part of the process
of putting kernel.h on a diet.

Removing hex.h from kernel.h means that 36K C source files don't have to
pay the price of parsing hex.h for the roughly 120 C source files that
need it.

This change has been build-tested with allmodconfig on most ARCHes. Also,
all users/callers of <linux/hex.h> in the entire source tree have been
updated if needed (if not already #included).

Masahiro Yamada b1992c3772 kbuild: use $(src) instead of $(srctree)/$(src) for source directory
Kbuild conventionally uses $(obj)/ for generated files, and $(src)/ for
checked-in source files. It is merely a convention without any functional
difference. In fact, $(obj) and $(src) are exactly the same, as defined
in scripts/Makefile.build:

    src := $(obj)

When the kernel is built in a separate output directory, $(src) does
not accurately reflect the source directory location. While Kbuild
resolves this discrepancy by specifying VPATH=$(srctree) to search for
source files, it does not cover all cases. For example, when adding a
header search path for local headers, -I$(srctree)/$(src) is typically
passed to the compiler.

This introduces inconsistency between upstream and downstream Makefiles
because $(src) is used instead of $(srctree)/$(src) for the latter.

To address this inconsistency, this commit changes the semantics of
$(src) so that it always points to the directory in the source tree.

Going forward, the variables used in Makefiles will have the following
meanings:

$(obj) - directory in the object tree
$(src) - directory in the source tree (changed by this commit)
$(objtree) - the top of the kernel object tree
$(srctree) - the top of the kernel source tree

Consequently, $(srctree)/$(src) in upstream Makefiles need to be replaced
with $(src).

Without logging the blacklisted hash triggering the issue however the users
can not report it properly to the firmware vendors and the firmware vendors
can not easily see which specific hash is duplicated.

While changing the log message also use the dedicated ERR_PTR format
placeholder for the returned error value.

Jan LuebbeandMasahiro Yamada b1c3d2beed certs: Fix build error when PKCS#11 URI contains semicolon
When CONFIG_MODULE_SIG_KEY is PKCS#11 URI (pkcs11:*) and contains a
semicolon, signing_key.x509 fails to build:

  certs/extract-cert pkcs11:token=foo;object=bar;pin-value=1111 certs/signing_key.x509
  Usage: extract-cert <source> <dest>

Add quotes to the extract-cert argument to avoid splitting by the shell.

This approach was suggested by Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>.

Fixes: 129ab0d2d9 ("kbuild: do not quote string values in include/config/auto.conf")
