Jacob KellerandTony Nguyen 141d0c9037 net: intel: move RSS packet classifier types to libie
The Intel i40e, iavf, and ice drivers all include a definition of the
packet classifier filter types used to program RSS hash enable bits. For
i40e, these bits are used for both the PF and VF to configure the PFQF_HENA
and VFQF_HENA registers.

For ice and iAVF, these bits are used to communicate the desired hash
enable filter over virtchnl via its struct virtchnl_rss_hashena. The
virtchnl.h header makes no mention of where the bit definitions reside.

Maintaining a separate copy of these bits across three drivers is
cumbersome. Move the definition to libie as a new pctype.h header file.
Each driver can include this, and drop its own definition.

The ice implementation also defined a ICE_AVF_FLOW_FIELD_INVALID, intending
to use this to indicate when there were no hash enable bits set. This is
confusing, since the enumeration is using bit positions. A value of 0
*should* indicate the first bit. Instead, rewrite the code that uses
ICE_AVF_FLOW_FIELD_INVALID to just check if the avf_hash is zero. From
context this should be clear that we're checking if none of the bits are
set.

The values are kept as bit positions instead of encoding the BIT_ULL
directly into their value. While most users will simply use BIT_ULL
immediately, i40e uses the macros both with BIT_ULL and test_bit/set_bit
calls.

Jacob KellerandTony Nguyen 78b2d9908b net: intel: rename 'hena' to 'hashcfg' for clarity
i40e, ice, and iAVF all use 'hena' as a shorthand for the "hash enable"
configuration. This comes originally from the X710 datasheet 'xxQF_HENA'
registers. In the context of the registers the meaning is fairly clear.

However, on its own, hena is a weird name that can be more difficult to
understand. This is especially true in ice. The E810 hardware doesn't even
have registers with HENA in the name.

Replace the shorthand 'hena' with 'hashcfg'. This makes it clear the
variables deal with the Hash configuration, not just a single boolean
on/off for all hashing.

Do not update the register names. These come directly from the datasheet
for X710 and X722, and it is more important that the names can be searched.

Jan GlazaandTony Nguyen db5e8ea155 virtchnl: make proto and filter action count unsigned
The count field in virtchnl_proto_hdrs and virtchnl_filter_action_set
should never be negative while still being valid. Changing it from
int to u32 ensures proper handling of values in virtchnl messages in
driverrs and prevents unintended behavior.
In its current signed form, a negative count does not trigger
an error in ice driver but instead results in it being treated as 0.
This can lead to unexpected outcomes when processing messages.
By using u32, any invalid values will correctly trigger -EINVAL,
making error detection more robust.

Jacob KellerandTony Nguyen 2a86e210f1 iavf: add support for negotiating flexible RXDID format
Enable support for VIRTCHNL_VF_OFFLOAD_RX_FLEX_DESC, to enable the VF
driver the ability to determine what Rx descriptor formats are
available. This requires sending an additional message during
initialization and reset, the VIRTCHNL_OP_GET_SUPPORTED_RXDIDS. This
operation requests the supported Rx descriptor IDs available from the
PF.

This is treated the same way that VLAN V2 capabilities are handled. Add
a new set of extended capability flags, used to process send and receipt
of the VIRTCHNL_OP_GET_SUPPORTED_RXDIDS message.

This ensures we finish negotiating for the supported descriptor formats
prior to beginning configuration of receive queues.

This change stores the supported format bitmap into the iavf_adapter
structure. Additionally, if VIRTCHNL_VF_OFFLOAD_RX_FLEX_DESC is enabled
by the PF, we need to make sure that the Rx queue configuration
specifies the format.

Jacob KellerandTony Nguyen 6a88c797ab virtchnl: add enumeration for the rxdid format
Support for allowing VF to negotiate the descriptor format requires that
the VF specify which descriptor format to use when requesting Rx queues.
The VF is supposed to request the set of supported formats via the new
VIRTCHNL_OP_GET_SUPPORTED_RXDIDS, and then set one of the supported
formats in the rxdid field of the virtchnl_rxq_info structure.

The virtchnl.h header does not provide an enumeration of the format
values. The existing implementations in the PF directly use the values
from the DDP package.

Make the formats explicit by defining an enumeration of the RXDIDs.
Provide an enumeration for the values as well as the bit positions as
returned by the supported_rxdids data from the
VIRTCHNL_OP_GET_SUPPORTED_RXDIDS.

Simei SuandTony Nguyen 7c1178a9df ice: support Rx timestamp on flex descriptor
To support Rx timestamp offload, VIRTCHNL_OP_1588_PTP_CAPS is sent by
the VF to request PTP capability and responded by the PF what capability
is enabled for that VF.

Hardware captures timestamps which contain only 32 bits of nominal

* Read access to PHC time over virtchnl using

Ahmed ZakiandTony Nguyen 623122ac1c iavf: add support for offloading tc U32 cls filters
Add support for offloading cls U32 filters. Only "skbedit queue_mapping"
and "drop" actions are supported. Also, only "ip" and "802_3" tc
protocols are allowed. The PF must advertise the VIRTCHNL_VF_OFFLOAD_TC_U32
capability flag.

Since the filters will be enabled via the FD stage at the PF, a new type
of FDIR filters is added and the existing list and state machine are used.

The new filters can be used to configure flow directors based on raw
(binary) pattern in the rx packet.

Examples:

0. # tc qdisc add dev enp175s0v0 ingress

1. Redirect UDP from src IP 192.168.2.1 to queue 12:

    # tc filter add dev <dev> protocol ip ingress u32 \
	match u32 0x45000000 0xff000000 at 0 \
	match u32 0x00110000 0x00ff0000 at 8 \
	match u32 0xC0A80201 0xffffffff at 12 \
	match u32 0x00000000 0x00000000 at 24 \
	action skbedit queue_mapping 12 skip_sw

2. Drop all ICMP:

    # tc filter add dev <dev> protocol ip ingress u32 \
	match u32 0x45000000 0xff000000 at 0 \
	match u32 0x00010000 0x00ff0000 at 8 \
	match u32 0x00000000 0x00000000 at 24 \
	action drop skip_sw

3. Redirect ICMP traffic from MAC 3c:fd:fe:a5:47:e0 to queue 7
   (note proto: 802_3):

   # tc filter add dev <dev> protocol 802_3 ingress u32 \
	match u32 0x00003CFD 0x0000ffff at 4 \
	match u32 0xFEA547E0 0xffffffff at 8 \
	match u32 0x08004500 0xffffff00 at 12 \
	match u32 0x00000001 0x000000ff at 20 \
	match u32 0x0000 0x0000 at 40 \
	action skbedit queue_mapping 7 skip_sw

Notes on matches:
1 - All intermediate fields that are needed to parse the correct PTYPE
must be provided (in e.g. 3: Ethernet Type 0x0800 in MAC, IP version
and IP length: 0x45 and protocol: 0x01 (ICMP)).
2 - The last match must provide an offset that guarantees all required
headers are accounted for, even if the last header is not matched.
For example, in #2, the last match is 4 bytes at offset 24 starting
from IP header, so the total is 14 (MAC) + 24 + 4 = 42, which is the
    sum of MAC+IP+ICMP headers.

There are five virtchnl structures, which are allocated and checked in

Alexander LobakinandTony Nguyen dd2e84bb38 virtchnl: fix fake 1-elem arrays in structs allocated as nents + 1 - 1
The two most problematic virtchnl structures are virtchnl_rss_key and
virtchnl_rss_lut. Their "flex" arrays have the type of u8, thus, when
allocating / checking, the actual size is calculated as `sizeof +
nents - 1 byte`. But their sizeof() is not 1 byte larger than the size
of such structure with proper flex array, it's two bytes larger due to
the padding. That said, their size is always 1 byte larger unless
there are no tail elements -- then it's +2 bytes.
Add virtchnl_struct_size() macro which will handle this case (and later
other cases as well). Make its calling conv the same as we call
struct_size() to allow it to be drop-in, even though it's unlikely to
become possible to switch to generic API. The macro will calculate a
proper size of a structure with a flex array at the end, so that it
becomes transparent for the compilers, but add the difference from the
old values, so that the real size of sorta-ABI-messages doesn't change.
Use it on the allocation side in IAVF and the receiving side (defined
as static inline in virtchnl.h) for the mentioned two structures.

Jesse BrandeburgandTony Nguyen 2723f3b5d4 virtchnl: i40e/iavf: rename iwarp to rdma
Since the latest Intel hardware does both IWARP and ROCE, rename the
term IWARP in the virtchnl header to be RDMA. Do this for both upper and
lower case instances. Many of the non-virtchnl.h changes were done with
regular expression replacements using perl like:
perl -p -i -e 's/_IWARP/_RDMA/' <files>
perl -p -i -e 's/_iwarp/_rdma/' <files>
and I had to pick up a few instances manually.

The virtchnl.h header has some comments and clarity added around when to
use certain defines.

note: had to fix a checkpatch warning for a long line by wrapping one of
the lines I changed.

Jesse BrandeburgandTony Nguyen 4e4df55941 virtchnl: do structure hardening
The virtchnl interface can have a bunch of "soft" defined structures
hardened by using explicit sizes for declarations, and then referring to
the enum type that uses them in a comment. None of these changes should
change any of the structure sizes.

Also, remove a duplicate line in a switch statement and let two cases
uses the same code.

Jesse BrandeburgandTony Nguyen 43fc70a208 virtchnl: update header and increase header clarity
We already have the SPDX header, so just leave a copyright notice with
an updated year and get rid of the boilerplate header (so 2002!).

In addition, update a couple of comments to clarify how the various
parts of the virtchannel header interaction work.

No functional changes.
