Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) nbd: override creds to kernel when calling sock_{send,recv}msg()
sock_{send,recv}msg() internally calls security_socket_{send,recv}msg(),
which does security checks (e.g. SELinux) for socket access against the
current task. However, _sock_xmit() in drivers/block/nbd.c may be called
indirectly from a userspace syscall, where the NBD socket access would
be incorrectly checked against the calling userspace task (which simply
tries to read/write a file that happens to reside on an NBD device).
To fix this, temporarily override creds to kernel ones before calling
the sock_*() functions. This allows the security modules to recognize
this as internal access by the kernel, which will normally be allowed.
A way to trigger the issue is to do the following (on a system with
SELinux set to enforcing):
### Create nbd device:
truncate -s 256M /tmp/testfile
nbd-server localhost:10809 /tmp/testfile
### Connect to the nbd server:
nbd-client localhost
### Create mdraid array
mdadm --create -l 1 -n 2 /dev/md/testarray /dev/nbd0 missing
After these steps, assuming the SELinux policy doesn't allow the

drivers/block: replace use of system_wq with system_percpu_wq
Currently if a user enqueue a work item using schedule_delayed_work() the used wq is "system_wq" (per-cpu wq) while queue_delayed_work() use WORK_CPU_UNBOUND (used when a cpu is not specified). The same applies to schedule_work() that is using system_wq and queue_work(), that makes use again of WORK_CPU_UNBOUND. This lack of consistentcy cannot be addressed without refactoring the API. system_unbound_wq should be the default workqueue so as not to enforce locality constraints for random work whenever it's not required. Adding system_dfl_wq to encourage its use when unbound work should be used. queue_work() / queue_delayed_work() / mod_delayed_work() will now use the new unbound wq: whether the user still use the old wq a warn will be printed along with a wq redirect to the new one. The old system_unbound_wq will be kept for a few release cycles. nbd_genl_connect() does not properly stop the device on certain
error paths after nbd_start_device() has been called. This causes
the error path to put nbd->config while recv_work continue to use
the config after putting it, leading to use-after-free in recv_work.
This patch moves nbd_start_device() after the backend file creation.

block: force noio scope in blk_mq_freeze_queue
When block drivers or the core block code perform allocations with a frozen queue, this could try to recurse into the block device to reclaim memory and deadlock. Thus all allocations done by a process that froze a queue need to be done without __GFP_IO and __GFP_FS. Instead of tying to track all of them down, force a noio scope as part of freezing the queue. Note that nvme is a bit of a mess here due to the non-owner freezes, and they will be addressed separately. nbd: fix partial sending
nbd driver sends request header and payload with multiple call of sock_sendmsg, and partial sending can't be avoided. However, nbd driver returns BLK_STS_RESOURCE to block core in this situation. This way causes one issue: request->tag may change in the next run of nbd_queue_rq(), but the original old tag has been sent as part of header cookie, this way confuses nbd driver reply handling, since the real request can't be retrieved any more with the obsolete old tag. Fix it by retrying sending directly in per-socket work function, meantime return BLK_STS_OK to block layer core. nbd: correct the maximum value for discard sectors
The version of the NBD protocol implemented by the kernel driver
currently has a 32 bit field for length values. As the NBD protocol uses
bytes as a unit of length, length values larger than 2^32 bytes cannot
be expressed.
Update the max_hw_discard_sectors field to match that.

nbd: fix race between timeout and normal completion
If request timetout is handled by nbd_requeue_cmd(), normal completion
has to be stopped for avoiding to complete this requeued request, other
use-after-free can be triggered.
Fix the race by clearing NBD_CMD_INFLIGHT in nbd_requeue_cmd(), meantime
make sure that cmd->lock is grabbed for clearing the flag and the
requeue.

block: move the nonrot flag to queue_limits
Move the nonrot flag into the queue_limits feature field so that it can be set atomically with the queue frozen. Use the chance to switch to defaulting to non-rotational and require the driver to opt into rotational, which matches the polarity of the sysfs interface. For the z2ram, ps3vram, 2x memstick, ubiblock and dcssblk the new rotational flag is not set as they clearly are not rotational despite this being a behavior change. There are some other drivers that unconditionally set the rotational flag to keep the existing behavior as they arguably can be used on rotational devices even if that is probably not their main use today (e.g. virtio_blk and drbd). The flag is automatically inherited in blk_stack_limits matching the existing behavior in dm and md. block: move cache control settings out of queue->flags
Move the cache control settings into the queue_limits so that the flags can be set atomically with the device queue frozen. Add new features and flags field for the driver set flags, and internal (usually sysfs-controlled) flags in the block layer. Note that we'll eventually remove enough field from queue_limits to bring it back to the previous size. The disable flag is inverted compared to the previous meaning, which means it now survives a rescan, similar to the max_sectors and max_discard_sectors user limits. The FLUSH and FUA flags are now inherited by blk_stack_limits, which simplified the code in dm a lot, but also causes a slight behavior change in that dm-switch and dm-unstripe now advertise a write cache despite setting num_flush_bios to 0. The I/O path will handle this gracefully, but as far as I can tell the lack of num_flush_bios and thus flush support is a pre-existing data integrity bug in those targets that really needs fixing, after which a non-zero num_flush_bios should be required in dm for targets that map to underlying devices.
