Linus WalleijandRussell King (Oracle) 5bb578a0c1 ARM: 9298/1: Drop custom mdesc->handle_irq()
ARM exclusively uses GENERIC_IRQ_MULTI_HANDLER, so at some point
set_handle_irq() needs to be called to handle system-wide
interrupts.

For all DT-enabled boards, this call happens down in the
drivers/irqchip subsystem, after locating the target irqchip
driver from the device tree.

We still have a few instances of the boardfiles with machine
descriptors passing a machine-specific .handle_irq() to the
ARM kernel core.

Get rid of this by letting the few remaining machines consistently
call set_handle_irq() from the end of the .init_irq() callback
instead and diet down one member from the machine descriptor.

Arnd Bergmann e7536617ba ARM: footbridge: move isa-dma support into footbridge
The dma-isa.c was shared between footbridge and shark a long time ago,
but as shark was removed, it can be made footbridge specific again.

The fb_dma bits in turn are not used at all and can be removed.

All the ISA related files are now built into the platform regardless
of CONFIG_ISA, as they just refer to on-chip devices rather than actual
ISA cards.

Zhen LeiandRussell King (Oracle) 598f0a99fa ARM: 9210/1: Mark the FDT_FIXED sections as shareable
commit 7a1be318f5 ("ARM: 9012/1: move device tree mapping out of linear
region") use FDT_FIXED_BASE to map the whole FDT_FIXED_SIZE memory area
which contains fdt. But it only reserves the exact physical memory that
fdt occupied. Unfortunately, this mapping is non-shareable. An illegal or
speculative read access can bring the RAM content from non-fdt zone into
cache, PIPT makes it to be hit by subsequently read access through
shareable mapping(such as linear mapping), and the cache consistency
between cores is lost due to non-shareable property.

|<---------FDT_FIXED_SIZE------>|
|                               |
 -------------------------------
| <non-fdt> | <fdt> | <non-fdt> |
 -------------------------------

1. CoreA read <non-fdt> through MT_ROM mapping, the old data is loaded
   into the cache.
2. CoreB write <non-fdt> to update data through linear mapping. CoreA
   received the notification to invalid the corresponding cachelines, but
   the property non-shareable makes it to be ignored.
3. CoreA read <non-fdt> through linear mapping, cache hit, the old data
   is read.

To eliminate this risk, add a new memory type MT_MEMORY_RO. Compared to
MT_ROM, it is shareable and non-executable.

The faulty list node to be deleted is a local variable, its address is
c0ecbf74. The dumped stack shows that 'prev' = c0ecbf74, but its value
before lib/list_debug.c:53 is c08410dc. A large amount of printing results
in swapping out the cacheline containing the old data(MT_ROM mapping is
read only, so the cacheline cannot be dirty), and the subsequent dump
operation obtains new data from the DDR.

The last user of arch_irq_handler_default is gone now, so the
entry-macro-multi.S file and all references to mach/entry-macro.S can
be removed, as well as the asm_do_IRQ() entrypoint into the interrupt
handling routines implemented in C.

Note: The ARMv7-M entry still uses its own top-level IRQ entry, calling
nvic_handle_irq() from assembly. This could be changed to go through
generic_handle_arch_irq() as well, but it's unclear to me if there are
any benefits.

* handle_arch_irq is now marked as __ro_after_init.

Lorenzo PieralisiandBjorn Helgaas 97ad2bdcbe ARM/PCI: Convert PCI scan API to pci_scan_root_bus_bridge()
The introduction of pci_scan_root_bus_bridge() provides a PCI core API to

Bjorn Helgaas 1fa051018d ARM: Make PCI I/O space optional
For callers of pci_common_init_dev(), we previously always required a PCI
I/O port resource. If the caller's ->setup() function had added an I/O
resource, we used that; otherwise, we added a default 64K I/O port space
for it.

There are PCI host bridges that do not support I/O port space, and we
should not add fictitious spaces for them.

If a caller sets struct hw_pci.io_optional, assume it is responsible for
adding any I/O port resource it desires, and do not add any default I/O
port space.

Gabriele PaoloniandBjorn Helgaas b3a72384fe ARM/PCI: Replace pci_sys_data->align_resource with global function pointer
dw_pcie_host_init() creates the PCI host bridge with pci_common_init_dev(),
an ARM-specific function that supplies the ARM-specific pci_sys_data
structure as the PCI "sysdata". To use dw_pcie_host_init() on other
architectures, we will copy the internals of pci_common_init_dev() into
pcie-designware.c instead of calling it, and dw_pcie_host_init() will
supply the DesignWare pcie_port structure as "sysdata".

Most ARM "sysdata" users are specific to non-DesignWare host bridges;
they'll be unaffected because those bridges will continue to have the ARM
pci_sys_data. Most of the rest are ARM-generic functions called by
pci_common_init_dev(); these will be unaffected because dw_pcie_host_init()
will no longer call pci_common_init().

But the ARM pcibios_align_resource() can be called by the PCI core for any
bridge, so it can't depend on sysdata since it may be either pci_sys_data
or pcie_port.

Remove the pcibios_align_resource() dependency on sysdata by replacing the
pci_sys_data->align_resource pointer with a global function pointer.

This is less general (we can no longer have per-host bridge
align_resource() methods), but the pci_sys_data->align_resource pointer was
used only by Marvell (see mvebu_pcie_enable()), so this would only be a
problem if we had a system with a combination of Marvell and other host
bridges

Masahiro YamadaandRussell King f460b6abde ARM: 8423/1: add const qualifier to smp_operations member in structures
The core framework does not modify smp_operations structures.
To clarify it, this commit adds 'const' qualifier to the 'ops'
member of struct of_cpu_method and the 'smp' member of struct
machine_desc.

This change allows each SoC code to add 'const' qualifier to its
smp_operation structure.

Thomas Gleixner bd0b9ac405 genirq: Remove irq argument from irq flow handlers
Most interrupt flow handlers do not use the irq argument. Those few
which use it can retrieve the irq number from the irq descriptor.

Remove the argument.

Search and replace was done with coccinelle and some extra helper
scripts around it. Thanks to Julia for her help!

Lorenzo PieralisiandBjorn Helgaas b5e5e8a13e ARM/PCI: Remove msi_controller from struct pci_sys_data
ARM now uses pci_bus->msi to store the msi_controller pointer, so we don't
need to save it in struct pci_sys_data, and we don't need to implement
pcibios_msi_controller() to get it out of pci_sys_data.

Remove msi_controller from struct pci_sys_data and
pcibios_msi_controller().

Lorenzo PieralisiandBjorn Helgaas 8953aab1e8 ARM/PCI, designware, xilinx: Use pci_scan_root_bus_msi()
ARM previously stored the msi_controller pointer in its sysdata, struct
pci_sys_data, and implemented pcibios_msi_controller() to retrieve it.
That made PCI host controller drivers specific to ARM because they had to
put the msi_controller pointer in the ARM-specific pci_sys_data.

There is now a generic mechanism, pci_scan_root_bus_msi(), for giving the
msi_controller pointer to the PCI core. Use this for all ARM systems and
for the DesignWare and Xilinx PCI host controller drivers.

This removes an ARM dependency from the DesignWare, DRA7xx, EXYNOS, i.MX6,
Keystone, Layerscape, SPEAr13xx, and Xilinx drivers.

Russell King c0b759d87e ARM: keystone2: rename init_meminfo to pv_fixup
The init_meminfo() method is not about initialising meminfo - it's about
fixing up the physical to virtual translation so that we use a different
physical address space, possibly above the 4GB physical address space.
Therefore, the name "init_meminfo()" is confusing.

Rename it to pv_fixup() instead.

Russell King c8ca2b4b29 ARM: keystone2: move update of the phys-to-virt constants into generic code
Make the init_meminfo function return the offset to be applied to the
phys-to-virt translation constants. This allows us to move the update
into generic code, along with the requirements for this update.

This avoids platforms having to know the details of the phys-to-virt
translation support.
