Mark Rutland e54957fa3b irq: arc: avoid CONFIG_HANDLE_DOMAIN_IRQ
In preparation for removing HANDLE_DOMAIN_IRQ, have arch/arc perform all
the necessary IRQ entry accounting in its entry code.

There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

machine_desc->init_per_cpu() hook is supposed to be per cpu
initialization and would seem to apply equally to UP and/or SMP.
Infact the comment in header file seems to suggest it works for
UP too, which was not the case and this patch.

This enables !CONFIG_SMP build for platforms such as hsdk.

Vineet Gupta 1b0ccb8a4e ARC: [intc-*] Do a domain lookup in primary handler for hwirq -> linux virq
The primary interrupt handler arch_do_IRQ() was passing hwirq as linux
virq to core code. This was fragile and worked so far as we only had legacy/linear
domains.

This came out of a rant by Marc Zyngier.

Vineet Gupta 569579401a ARC: opencode arc_request_percpu_irq
- The idea is to remove the API usage since it has a subltle
design flaw - relies on being called on cpu0 first. This is true for
some early per cpu irqs such as TIMER/IPI, but not for late probed
per cpu peripherals such a perf. And it's usage in perf has already
  bitten us once: see c6317bc7c5
("ARCv2: perf: Ensure perf intr gets enabled on all cores") where we
ended up open coding it anyways

- The seeming duplication will go away once we start using cpu notifier
  for timer setup

Vineet Gupta 5bf704c204 ARC: intc: No need to clear IRQ_NOAUTOEN
arc_request_percpu_irq() is called by all cores to request/enable percpu
irq. It has some "prep" calls needed by genirq:
 - setup percpu devid
 - disable IRQ_NOAUTOEN

However given that enable_percpu_irq() is called enayways, latter can be
avoided.

We are now left with irq_set_percpu_devid() quirk and that too for
ARCompact builds only, since previous patch updated ARCv2 intc to do this
in the "right" place, i.e. irq map function.

By next release, this will ultimately be fixed for ARCompact as well.

Note this is not part of platform owned static machine_desc,

Vineet Gupta 4c82f28617 ARC: remove @init_time, @init_irq platform callbacks
These are not in use for ARC platforms. Moreover DT mechanims exist to
probe them w/o explicit platform calls.

 - clocksource drivers can use CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE()
 - intc IRQCHIP_DECLARE() calls + cascading inside DT allows external

Vineet Gupta 878f46c71e ARC: [intc] don't mask all IRQ by default
Hardware keeps them enabled on reset, and Linux needs to keep status quo.
Any spurious interrupts will be reported/blocked by genirq.

This helps remove a SMP IRQ quirk (next commit), where a peripheral IRQ
is hard wired to core0, and request_irq()->unmask() happens on core1,
keeping the IRQ masked on core0, needing an explicit unmask.

Vineet Gupta 2b75c0f93e ARC: [SMP] unify cpu private IRQ requests (TIMER/IPI)
The current cpu-private IRQ registration is ugly as it requires need to
expose arch_unmask_irq() outside of intc code.
So switch to percpu IRQ APIs:
  -request_percpu_irq [boot core]
  -enable_percpu_irq [all cores]

Encapsulated in helper arc_request_percpu_irq()

Chen GangandVineet Gupta 4782f7f9ae arc: remove '__init' for get_hw_config_num_irq()
get_hw_config_num_irq() may be called by normal iss_model_init_smp()
which is a function pointer for 'init_smp' which may be called by
first_lines_of_secondary() which also need be normal too.

The related warning (with allmodconfig):

    MODPOST vmlinux.o
WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x5814): Section mismatch in reference from the function iss_model_init_smp() to the function .init.text:get_hw_config_num_irq()
  The function iss_model_init_smp() references
  the function __init get_hw_config_num_irq().
This is often because iss_model_init_smp lacks a __init
annotation or the annotation of get_hw_config_num_irq is wrong.

Noam CamusandLinus Torvalds c3567f8a35 ARC: SMP failed to boot due to missing IVT setup
Commit 05b016ecf5 "ARC: Setup Vector Table Base in early boot" moved
the Interrupt vector Table setup out of arc_init_IRQ() which is called
for all CPUs, to entry point of boot cpu only, breaking booting of others.

Fix by adding the same to entry point of non-boot CPUs too.

read_arc_build_cfg_regs() printing IVT Base Register didn't help the
casue since it prints a synthetic value if zero which is totally bogus,
so fix that to print the exact Register.

Paul GortmakerandVineet Gupta ce7599567e arc: delete __cpuinit usage from all arc files
The __cpuinit type of throwaway sections might have made sense
some time ago when RAM was more constrained, but now the savings
do not offset the cost and complications. For example, the fix in
commit 5e427ec2d0 ("x86: Fix bit corruption at CPU resume time")
is a good example of the nasty type of bugs that can be created
with improper use of the various __init prefixes.

After a discussion on LKML[1] it was decided that cpuinit should go
the way of devinit and be phased out. Once all the users are gone,
we can then finally remove the macros themselves from linux/init.h.

Note that some harmless section mismatch warnings may result, since
notify_cpu_starting() and cpu_up() are arch independent (kernel/cpu.c)
are flagged as __cpuinit -- so if we remove the __cpuinit from
arch specific callers, we will also get section mismatch warnings.
As an intermediate step, we intend to turn the linux/init.h cpuinit
content into no-ops as early as possible, since that will get rid
of these warnings. In any case, they are temporary and harmless.

This removes all the arch/arc uses of the __cpuinit macros from
all C files. Currently arc does not have any __CPUINIT used in
assembly files.
