Enable the i82596 network chip which is included in the LASI
multi I/O chip. Since LASI has different start addresses on
the various machines, always initialize the LASI components
by their offsets.

The Linux kernel checks the PCS disabled bit in the R_DESCONF register
to determine if SGMII is supported. If the bit is set, SGMII support is
disabled. Since the Microchip Icicle devicetree file configures SGMII
interface mode, enabling the Ethernet interfaces fails when booting
the Linux kernel.
Add pcs-enabled property to to let the driver know if PCS should be
enabled. Set the flag to false by default (indicating that PCS is disabled)
to match the exiting code.

The Microchip PolarFire SoC Icicle Kit supports two Ethernet interfaces.
The PHY on each may be connected to separate MDIO busses, or both may be
connected on the same MDIO bus using different PHY addresses.
To be able to support two PHY instances on a single MDIO bus, two properties
are needed: First, there needs to be a flag indicating if the MDIO bus on
a given Ethernet interface is connected. If not, attempts to read from this
bus must always return 0xffff. Implement this property as phy-connected.
Second, if the MDIO bus on an interface is active, it needs a link to the
consumer interface to be able to provide PHY access for it. Implement this
property as phy-consumer.

Now that we have a simple decoding logic for all the banked registers,
remove the register API usage for them. This restricts the register API
usage to only the base registers (from 0x0 to 0xec).
This also removes all the custom code that was creating register
descriptors for the register API and was leading to memory leaks when
the device was finalized.

The PCS exists in NPCM8XX's GMAC1 and is used to control the SGMII
PHY. This implementation contains all the default registers and
the soft reset feature that are required to load the Linux kernel
driver. Further features have not been implemented yet.

imx_fec models the same PHY as lan9118_phy. The code is almost the same with
imx_fec having more logging and tracing. Merge these improvements into
lan9118_phy and reuse in imx_fec to fix the code duplication.
Some migration state how resides in the new device model which breaks migration
compatibility for the following machines:
* imx25-pdk
* sabrelite
* mcimx7d-sabre
* mcimx6ul-evk

A very similar implementation of the same device exists in imx_fec. Prepare for
a common implementation by extracting a device model into its own files.
Some migration state has been moved into the new device model which breaks
migration compatibility for the following machines:
* smdkc210
* realview-*
* vexpress-*
* kzm
* mps2-*
While breaking migration ABI, fix the size of the MII registers to be 16 bit,
as defined by IEEE 802.3u.

ASPEED AST2700 SOC is a 64 bits quad core CPUs (Cortex-a35)
And the base address of dram is "0x4 00000000" which
is 64bits address.
It have "Normal Priority Transmit Ring Base Address Register High(0x17C)",
"High Priority Transmit Ring Base Address Register High(0x184)" and
"Receive Ring Base Address Register High(0x18C)" to save the high part physical
address of descriptor manager.
Ex: TX descriptor manager address [34:0]
The "Normal Priority Transmit Ring Base Address Register High(0x17C)"
bits [2:0] which corresponds the bits [34:32] of the 64 bits address of
the TX ring buffer address.
The "Normal Priority Transmit Ring Base Address Register(0x20)" bits [31:0]
which corresponds the bits [31:0] of the 64 bits address
of the TX ring buffer address.
Introduce a new sub region which size is 0x100 for the set of new registers
and map it at 0x100 in the container region.
This sub region range is from 0x100 to 0x1ff.
Introduce a new property and object attribute to activate the region for new registers.
Introduce a new memop handlers for the new register read and write.

Update TX and RX ring base address data type to uint64_t for
64 bits dram address DMA support.
Both "Normal Priority Transmit Ring Base Address Register(0x20)" and
"Receive Ring Base Address Register (0x24)" are used for saving the
low part physical address of descriptor manager.
Therefore, changes to set TX and RX descriptor manager address bits [31:0]
in ftgmac100_read and ftgmac100_write functions.
Incrementing the version of vmstate to 2.

According to the datasheet of ASPEED SOCs,
one MAC controller owns 128KB of register space for AST2500.
However, one MAC controller only owns 64KB of register space for AST2600
and AST2700. It set the memory region size 128KB and it occupied another
controllers Address Spaces.
Update one MAC controller memory region size to 0x1000
because AST2500 did not use register spaces over than 64KB.
Introduce a new container region size to 0x1000 and its range
is from 0 to 0xfff. This container is mapped a sub region
for the current set of register.
This sub region range is from 0 to 0xff.

Create the device only if there is a corresponding NIC config for it.
Remove the explicit check on nd_table[0].used from hw/hppa/machine.c
which (since commit d8a3220005) tries to do the same thing.
The lasi_82596 support has been disabled since it was first introduced,
since enable_lasi_lan() has always been zero. This allows the user to
enable it by explicitly requesting a NIC model 'lasi_82596' or just
using the alias 'lasi'. Otherwise, it defaults to a PCI NIC as before.

Some callers instantiate the device unconditionally, others will do so only
if there is a NICInfo to go with it. This appears to be fairly random, but
preseve the existing behaviour for now.

The Xilinx Versal CANFD controller is developed based on SocketCAN, QEMU CAN bus
implementation. Bus connection and socketCAN connection for each CAN module
can be set through command lines.

The SOC on i.MX6UL and i.MX7 has 2 Ethernet interfaces. The PHY on each may
be connected to separate MDIO busses, or both may be connected on the same
MDIO bus using different PHY addresses. Commit 461c51ad42 ("Add a phy-num
property to the i.MX FEC emulator") added support for specifying PHY
addresses, but it did not provide support for linking the second PHY on
a given MDIO bus to the other Ethernet interface.
To be able to support two PHY instances on a single MDIO bus, two properties
are needed: First, there needs to be a flag indicating if the MDIO bus on
a given Ethernet interface is connected. If not, attempts to read from this
bus must always return 0xffff. Implement this property as phy-connected.
