98d1f8a6fd BaseTools: Remove DXE_SAL_DRIVER
The DXE_SAL_DRIVER module type was introduced to support
Itanium (IPF) platforms. Since support for Itanium processors has been
dropped, the instances of DXE_SAL_DRIVER have been removed.

3ac092cf72 BaseTools: Clean up os.path.normcase and os.path.normpath usage
Refer to the docs of python, `os.path.normcase(path)` function:
"Normalize the case of a pathname. On Windows, convert all characters in
the pathname to lowercase, and also convert forward slashes to backward
slashes. On other operating systems, return the path unchanged."

`os.path.normpath(path)` also convert forward slashes to backward slashes.

So call `os.path.normcase` after `os.path.normpath` just convert path to
lowercase on Windows(only).

And Windows is case-insensitive but case-preserving.

So the usage of `os.path.normcase(os.path.normpath(path))` can be
simplified to `os.path.normpath(path)`. Then we can use case-preserving
paths rather than lowercase paths in compile_commands.json file
or build log.

But this patch continue to use `os.path.normcase`
when comparing/searching paths.

5572b43c67 BaseTools/GenFds: Apply OEM_CAPSULE_FLAGS during Capsule generation.
Bugzilla ticket 4633

FdfParser.py has defined a key named OEM_CAPSULE_FLAGS to set the
lower 16 bits of EFI_CAPSULE_HEADER.Flags. However, this key is totally
"forgotten" in Capsule.py, making it impossible to set lower 16 bits of
this field, and leading to an always FALSE when comparing to
gEfiMdeModulePkgTokenSpaceGuid.PcdSystemRebootAfterCapsuleProcessFlag
in MdeModulePkg/Library/DxeCapsuleLibFmp/DxeCapsuleProcessLib.c:
ProcessTheseCapsules().

This patch ORs the value of OEM_CAPSULE_FLAGS with previously calculated
CAPSULE_FLAGS value, making the lower 16 bits of value being correctly set.

bff9815b61 BaseTools/GenFds: Resolve absolute workspace INF paths
Currently, if an INF path is an absolute path on Linux (begins with
"/"), the "/" character will be removed. If the path is an absolute
system path, this creates an invalid path.

An example of when this may be an issue is in external dependencies
where an INF is within the external dependency, the `set_build_var`
flag is set, and DSC files refer to files by its build variable
(e.g. `$(SHARED_BINARIES)/Module.inf`). INFs in a binary distribution
like this example may contain a [Binaries] section and refer to
different section files that can be used by a platform to compose an
FFS file. For example, the PE32 (.efi) and DEPEX (.depex) files.

In this case, `$(SHARED_BINARIES)` will be an absolute path to the
ext dep directory and `FfsInfStatement.__InfParse__` will remove the
leading "/" character so the path is invalid.

This change first checks if the absolute path will resolve into the
current workspace. If it does (as will happen in the shared crypto
ext dep example above), it modifies the path to be relative to the
workspace so later logic dependent on relative paths can operate on
it. If the absolute path is not within the current workspace, it
follows previous behavior for backward compatibility to that
scenario.

0a29933ea9 BaseTools: Support COMPAT16 section generation
Currently COMPAT16 section type is not recognized and GenSec is called
without the "-s [SectionType]" argument.
Add COMPAT16 type to the SectionType dictionary to fix the issue.

Now this syntax works correctly:
```
FILE FREEFORM = <GUID>  {
  SECTION COMPAT16 = <FILE>
}
```

225810a182 BaseTools: Add support for SUBTYPE_GUID section generation
EFI_SECTION_FREEFORM_SUBTYPE_GUID is a leaf section type that contains
a single EFI_GUID in the header to describe the raw data.
Currently is is not possible to generate such section.
This patch adds initial support for the generation of such sections.
The added syntax for this type of section corresponds to EDKII
"[FV] section" documentation from the FDF Specification:
```
SECTION SUBTYPE_GUID <GUID> = <File>
```

6ed6abd6c1 BaseTools: Change RealPath to AbsPath
Currently the realpath is used when parse modules, which shows the
path with a drive letter in build log. In Windows 'subst' comand is
used to associates a path with a drive letter, when use the mapped
drive letter for build, with realpath function the build log will
have different disk letter info which will cause confusion. In this
situation, if use adspath function to show the path info, it will keep
same letter with the mapped drive letter, which avoids confusion.
This patch modifies the realpath to abspath.

at some places when global definitions are available at:

DefaultToolsDefFile

Use these global definitions instead.

Also remove the unused gBuildConfiguration and gToolsDefinition
variables from build.py

* Do not expand * when tools_def.txt is parsed.  Only expand when

  This also requires more flexible matching of tool keys that contain *
  in tool key fields.

* Pre-scan the platform DSC file for FAMILY and TOOLCHAIN declarations
  DSC in [BuildOptions] sections before the FAMILY and TOOLCHAIN need
  to be known.

8d57088335 BaseTools: Remove the dependency on the build intermediate file
When generating compressed section, the build tool rely on the
build intermediate files, which were generated in last build, to
get the file list. This method will cause the incremental build to
generate incorrect build result. To reproduce this incremental build
error, you can do:
1. build Ovmf
2. change the module OvmfPkg\AcpiTables a source file Facp.aslc
name from Facp.aslc to Facpxxx.aslc.
3. change the Facp.aslc file name in [sources] section of AcpiTables.inf
4. incremental build Ovmf

you will see the in AcpiTables module Makefile, the corresponding
Facp.acpi file is not changed.

This patch is to make the build always get file list from the INF.

d8be01079b BaseTools: Set section alignment as zero if its type is Auto

Currently, the build tool try to read the section alignment
from efi file if the section alignment type is Auto.
If there is no efi generated, the section alignment will
be set to zero. This behavior causes the Makefile to be different
between the full build and the incremental build.

Since the Genffs can auto get the section alignment from
efi file during Genffs procedure, the build tool can just set section
alignment as zero. This change can make the autogen makefile
consistent for the full build and the incremental build.
