According to the comments in include/linux/fortify-string.h, 'memcpy()',
'memmove()' and 'memset()' must not be used beyond individual struct
members to ensure that the compiler can enforce protection against
buffer overflows, and, IIUC, this also applies to partial copies from
the particular member ('vendor->byte_data' in this case). So it should
be better (and safer) to do both copies at once (and 'byte_data' of
'struct acpi_resource_vendor_typed' seems to be a good candidate for
'__counted_by(byte_length)' as well).

056a81549c Merge branches 'acpi-apei', 'acpi-wakeup', 'acpi-reboot' and 'acpi-thermal'
Merge additional APEI changes, ACPI updates related to device wakeup and
system restart and ACPI thermal driver cleanups for 6.1-rc1:

 - Fix a memory leak in APEI by avoiding to add do not add task_work to
   kernel threads running when an asynchronous error is detected (Shuai
   Xue).

 - Add ACPI support for handling system wakeups via GPIO wake capable
   IRQs in addition to GPEs (Raul E Rangel).

 - Make the system reboot code put ACPI-enabled systems into the S5
   (system off) state which is necessary for some platforms to work as
   expected (Kai-Heng Feng).

 - Make the white space usage in the ACPI thermal driver more consistent
   and drop redundant code from it (Rafael Wysocki).

5ff811604f ACPI: resources: Add wake_capable parameter to acpi_dev_irq_flags
ACPI IRQ/Interrupt resources contain a bit that describes if the
interrupt should wake the system. This change exposes that bit via
a new IORESOURCE_IRQ_WAKECAPABLE flag. Drivers should check this flag
before arming an IRQ to wake the system.

ae85b23c65 PCI: Remove pci_get_legacy_ide_irq() and asm-generic/pci.h
pci_get_legacy_ide_irq() is only used on platforms that support PNP, so
many architectures define it but never use it.  Replace uses of it with
ATA_PRIMARY_IRQ() and ATA_SECONDARY_IRQ(), which provide the same
functionality.

Since pci_get_legacy_ide_irq() is no longer used, remove all the
architecture-specific definitions of it as well as asm-generic/pci.h, which
only provides pci_get_legacy_ide_irq()

a759de6991 PM: sleep: Add device name to suspend_report_result()
Currently, suspend_report_result() prints only function information.

If any driver uses a common PM function, nobody knows who exactly
called the failing function.

A device pinter is needed to recognize the failing device.

For example:

 PM: dpm_run_callback(): pnp_bus_suspend+0x0/0x10 returns 0
 PM: dpm_run_callback(): pci_pm_suspend+0x0/0x150 returns 0

become after the change:

cead185526 exit: Rename complete_and_exit to kthread_complete_and_exit
Update complete_and_exit to call kthread_exit instead of do_exit.

Change the name to reflect this change in functionality.  All of the
users of complete_and_exit are causing the current kthread to exit so
this change makes it clear what is happening.

Move the implementation of kthread_complete_and_exit from
kernel/exit.c to to kernel/kthread.c.  As this function is kthread
specific it makes most sense to live with the kthread functions.

There are no functional change.

fc7a6209d5 bus: Make remove callback return void
The driver core ignores the return value of this callback because there
is only little it can do when a device disappears.

This is the final bit of a long lasting cleanup quest where several
buses were converted to also return void from their remove callback.
Additionally some resource leaks were fixed that were caused by drivers
returning an error code in the expectation that the driver won't go
away.

With struct bus_type::remove returning void it's prevented that newly
implemented buses return an ignored error code and so don't anticipate
wrong expectations for driver authors.

b15fc7c2c8 PNP: Remove pnp_alloc()
The kernel will complain anyway if it runs out of memory, so it is
not necessary to print an extra error message when that happens and
kzalloc() can be called directly instead of pnp_alloc() which then
becomes redundant and can be dropped.

17e336db2b drivers: pnp: proc.c: Removed unnecessary varibles
de, e are two variables of the type 'struct proc_dir_entry'
which can be removed to save memory. This also fixes a coding style
issue reported by checkpatch where we are suggested to make assignment
outside the if statement.
