Jan Tulak 03c633bff6 build: Allow alphanumeric test name suffixes
To allow test names to be more descriptive, allow a suffix to be
added to the numeric name of the test. e.g. a test can be named
"tests/generic/001-some-descriptive-name".

Name suffixes are limited to alphanumeric characters and dash - the
name is always prefixed with an unique id for easy identification
of a specific test. Hence we can still use shorthand forms such as
"generic/001" when referring to a test and be clearly understood.

Eric Sandeen c365b11682 fsx: introduce FSX_AVOID env var
Just like FSSTRESS_AVOID, FSX_AVOID can be used to add
options at the end of the default fsx runs in each test.
i.e. FSX_AVOID="-H -z -C" will disable punch hole, zero range,
and collapse range calls in all tests which run fsx.

This should handle Ted's concerns about buggy ext4 fallocate
code without needing to add tunables to the kernel to reject
these operations during xfstests runs.

David Sterba 586a06c5b9 xfstests: use value of FSTYP if defined externally
The initial value of FSTYP is unconditionally set to 'xfs' and the
filesystem type is taken from the TEST_DEV. This could lead to confusion
if the device hasn't been formatted yet, eg. an empty image in VM, or
a different test setup took place before.

Now one can specify the desired FSTYP in advance and be safe. If unset,
the fallback to TEST_DEV type continues to work.

David Sterba 6f000a96dc xfstests: make length of diff output configurable
In commit 11c1d79414 "xfstests: Change the diff output of failed
tests", the diff output of a failed test was hardcoded to 10 lines to
avoid overly long output and user can get the full output by manually
running the diff. However this is not always possible and convenient,
eg. in repeated automated tests where the required information is lost
after the test round finished. Then the caputred logs do not contain
enough informatin for analysis.

Introduce the DIFF_LENGTH env variable to tune the diff size, keeping it
10 as deafult and 0 to disable the limit.

Anand Jain 27a067a7ca Added SCRATCH_DEV_POOL to specify multiple disks for the btrfs RAID
SCRATCH_DEV takes single disk as the scratch place for testing. New
SCRATCH_DEV_POOL can used to specify multiple disks for the scratch
btrfs filesystem.

Using SCRATCH_DEV and or SCRATCH_DEV_POOL will follow the following logic.
  btrfs FS OR any FS
SCRATCH_DEV_POOL is unset and SCRATCH_DEV is set
     . test-case with _require_scratch_dev_pool will not run
     . test-case without _require_scratch_dev_pool will run

SCRATCH_DEV_POOL is set and SCRATCH_DEV is unset
     . test-case with _require_scratch_dev_pool
         - runs only if FSTYP=btrfs
. test-case without _require_scratch_dev_pool will run using first
       dev in the SCRATCH_DEV_POOL as a SCRATCH_DEV
         - if FSTYP=btrfs it includes SCRATCH_DEV_POOL disks to the FS
         - if FSTYP=non-btrfs SCRATCH_DEV_POOL is ignored

SCRATCH_DEV_POOL is set and SCRATCH_DEV is set
. reports error in the config

SCRATCH_DEV_POOL is unset and SCRATCH_DEV is unset
     . no change

Eric Sandeen 3ae9f2f8e8 Make the SCRATCH_DEV optional
Tests will fail gracefully if there is no SCRATCH_DEV defined, so change

the check script to allow it, and update README to reflect this.

This just makes it simpler to set up the tests, at the expense of
coverage.

Long term it might be nice to allow either SCRATCH_DEV xor TEST_DEV
to be missing, but for now this is simple.
