Darrick J. Wong a0e085215e quota: clean out speculative preallocations when checking quota usage
On XFS, the only reliable way to clean out speculative post-eof
preallocations, delayed allocations, and speculative cow preallocations
is to cycle the filesystem mount. Since we're comparing the post-test
quota counts against a freshly quotacheck to look for leaks, it's fine
to cycle the mount. This eliminates sporadic quota count failures when
running xfstests with quotas enabled.

Chao Yu f6abb65ebc common/quota: adapt _require_prjquota() for f2fs
In _require_prjquota(), let's check project quota support as below
for f2fs:

- For image support, check 'project_quota' on enabled feature list
  of specified device.
- For kernel support, check /sys/fs/f2fs/features/project_quota
  sysfs entry status.

Zorro Lang 4b246619a4 common/quota: sort lines of repquota output
The golden image of some cases (e.g: generic/305 generic/326
generic/327 generic/328 xfs/214 xfs/330 and xfs/440) depend on the
output of repquota() function.

When it reports multi-users, we can't control the order of lines,
then always hit failures likes:

  ...
   Create the original files
  -root 3072 0 0
   nobody 0 0 0
   fsgqa 0 0 0
  +root 3072 0 0
  ...

So sort the lines to make sure it won't break the golden image.

Eryu Guan 69eb6281a9 fstests: _fail test by default when _scratch_mount fails
Previously _scratch_mount didn't check the mount status and most
tests continue to run even if the mount failed (unless test checks
for the mount status explicitly). This would result in running tests
on the underlying filesystem (usually rootfs) and implicit test
failures, and such failures can be annoying and are usually hard to
debug.

Now _fail test by default if _scratch_mount failed and introduce
_try_scratch_mount for tests that need to check mount results
themselves.

Darrick J. Wong 148090c1c4 quota: clear speculative delalloc when checking quota usage
Occasionally speculative preallocation kicks in when writing files
to a filesystem under test. These preallocations consume quota and
/usually/ aren't around after we drop_caches, but there's nothing to
guarantee that they actually have, so the quota reports will be
different before and after the fs remount, causing sporadic test
failures in generic/{23[123],270}.

We now have xfs_spaceman which can instruct XFS to forcibly remove
the speculative preallocations. This fixes the sporadic failures,
at least for XFS.

Eric Sandeen 7369e9c7f9 xfs: make some xfs project quota tests generic
This patch makes some xfs project quota tests generic,
so that there is at least some coverage on ext4 for this
(semi-)new feature.

It requires bleeding edge xfsprogs, so that xfs_quota and
xfs_io's chproj command can operate on "foreign" filesystems,
and requires relatively new e2fsprogs to enable the project
quota feature on-disk.

The mechanism for enabling project quota on ext4 is a bit
arcane, but hopefully I've encapsulated it reasonably well here.

Changes:

* look for "project" feature in _require_prjquota
* look for accounting not enforcement (-P) in _require_prjquota
* add a _scratch_enable_pquota to turn on project quota feature
* s/pquota/quota/ in _qmount_option for ext4
* add helper to test for xfs_io chproj on foreign filesystems
* switch from block to inode quota in xfs/133 because empty
  ext4 dirs consume one block
* cosmetic/generic changes for mkfs, require tests, etc.

Eric Sandeen ee25b89d8c xfs: modify quota tests to work on generic filesystems
Fix several xfs quota tests to work on non-xfs filesystems.

New _require function to be sure that the xfs_quota tool can operate
on foreign filesystems; if it can, and if it needs to, it adds "-f"
to the XFS_QUOTA_PROG variable.

Modify _qmount to do quotacheck/quotaon to mount and /enable/
quota. On xfs this isn't needed and/or fails; it's ignored.

All quota-related options used as arguments to _qmount are changed
from i.e. uquota to i.e. usrquota; the latter is standard across
almost all linux filesytems, including xfs.

xfs/260 filters out the root/default quota line, because ext4
consumes a different amount of space than xfs, and it's not what
we're testing for, so just ignore it.

Eric Sandeen a71e9bbd51 common: properly quote strings tested with -n
Per the Advanced Bash Scripting Guide:

"The -n test requires that the string be quoted within the test brackets.
Using an unquoted string with ! -z, or even just the unquoted string
alone within test bracket normally works, however, this is an unsafe
practice. Always quote a tested string."

And indeed:

$ unset FOOBAR
$ [ -n $FOOBAR ] || echo nope
$ [ -n "$FOOBAR" ] || echo nope
nope

Ran into this on a box w/o the attr program installed, and passed
_require_attrs. Quoting the string fixes this; fix it there
